This has got to be a joke!

Callin's P.O.V

Everyone was still shaken after the accident. Kim had laid lifelessly on the ground until an ambulance came, then she was taken away on a stretcher and the game was cancelled. Even though I hated the girl, I didn't want her to die. The following day was quiet until I heard the familiar voice of the school secretary booming from the speakers.

"Callin Constancio, to the principles office!" Her voice had always irritated me.

"What have you done now, Constancio? " Austin grinned coming up from behind me.

I had forgotten how I had suggested about trying to be friends with Austin last night, it was worth a try as we would be seeing a lot of each other.

"I am unaware of what I have done this time..." I said, confused.

It was true, I hadn't actually done anything bad the day before so I was shocked.

"Well, I better get going. Do you want to sit with me at lunch?" He asked.

I smiled. "Yeah... That would be nice."

He stared at me for a moment before wondering off to class. It was strange to have Austin inviting me to sit with him. I liked spending time with him. After Austin was out of my sight, I let out a sigh of defeat and started walking to Principle Franklin's office. When I entered, I was surprised to see him sat at his desk, with the cheerleaders surrounding him.

"Callin Constancio, just the girl I wanted to see." Principle Franklin said as I entered the room.

"What do you want sir? You tell me not to be late and to turn up to class, but you're preventing me from doing it now." I said, rolling my eyes.

"You won't get into trouble as I will give you a late slip if you listen to me." He said sharply.

"If you want to speak to me then why are they here?" I pointed at the group of cheerleaders surrounding him.

"Because... you are taking over their squad while Kim is out of action." Principle Franklin said slowly, scared of how I would react.

"This has to be a joke!" I snorted.

I hated cheerleading and stupid cheerleaders. I realised that it was obviously Luce who was behind this with her stupid plan. Glaring at her, she just grinned and winked at me.

"Please Callin, you are the only person that is small and light enough to be a flyer. And we all know you can dance and will be able to keep up with us." Luce begged.

My attention went back to Principle Franklin who was watching anxiously. He obviously knew I wouldn't do this without a price, a high price.

"What's in it for me?" I leant against the doorway.

Principle Franklin moved forward on his desk. "I can clear all of the detentions you have gotten since you came back off of your record..."

I had gotten loads of detentions, I couldn't be bothered to stay behind after school. It was tempting...

"Take it or do a day of community service because you haven't signed off your detentions." Principle Franklin snapped.

I didn't want to admit that he had persuaded me so I just nodded my head. The girls squealed and Luce handed me the very familiar cheer uniform. She grinned at me, loving every moment of it.

"Go on, go to the changing room. On practice days we wear our uniform!" Luce said, giving me a playful shove.

"You have got to be fucking kidding me!" I groaned.

"Language Miss Constancio..." Principle Franklin sighed.

He knew I would never learn...

I entered the canteen muttering every swear word I knew under my breath. I had gone and changed into the cheer uniform. The red crop top was more like a bra. I tried to pull down the matching pleated skirt but it was too tight and small. All of the other girls uniform fitted perfectly. Mine was too small. It was obvious I had gained weight. I hung my head in shame, ignoring peoples stares and mumbles of 'Callin Constancio a cheerleader, is this possible?'

When sitting down at our table, Luce quickly left her bags with me before going to the lunch que. She had asked if I wanted anything but of course I declined. Taking advantage of her being away, I quickly threw my packed lunch in the bin before starting to rummage through her bag for my diet pills. I just needed them for a few days until I felt better about myself again... As I finally found the packet, I could feel someone watching me. I look up to meet Austin's eyes, he narrowed his eyes at the packet.

"What are they?" He questioned.

"Paracetamol..." I stuttered. "You see, I have a headache."

Austin looked at me for a moment longer before smiling and sitting down next to me. He scanned his eyes up and down my body before laughing. Making me feel even more self conscious .

"What's so funny?" I said worriedly. "I know I look ridiculous!"

Austin shook his head. "No you don't, you look good Callin... I just find it funny that you're a cheerleader now, as you hate them."

"I only agreed because Principle Franklin basically blackmailed me, arrogant twat." I muttered.

Austin's grin grew wider and he just shook his head. He didn't say anything as Luce had made her way back to the table with her lunch tray. She raised her eyebrow when she saw I had no food in front of me. She was always on my case.

"I finished my food while you were in the line." I lied.

Luce nodded her head and sat down opposite Austin and I, obviously glaring at Austin as she still hadn't forgiven him for dating Kim. While they were glaring at each other I decided to scroll down my Facebook newsfeed. Out of all the posts, one in piticular caught my eye. Back in London, my ex Caine was clearly not missing me as in the picture posted 10 hours ago he had his tounge stuffed down a random girls throat. So all of the texts about how much he wanted to speak to me and how much he missed me were all just lies.

"Luce, when I nod, I want you to kick me extremely hard in the shin." I said, scrolling through my contacts.

"This is going to be fun!" Luce giggled.

Quickly tapping on Caines number, it began ringing. He picked up after two rings. He was so desperate.

"Babe, you don't know how much I have missed you!" He gasped.

"Shut up, I saw the picture on Facebook." I said rolling my eyes.

"No, baby it's not what it looks like!" He protested.

I cringed at the word 'baby', he was so annoying. I nodded my head to Luce, she immediately took action, kicking my shin making me nearly cry out in pain. I was in so much pain, tears formed in my eyes, just how I had hoped.

"It's obvious that it's not going to work. You're obviously not ready to be committed to me. Just please leave me alone!" I said, making it sound like I was crying.

Before he could reply I hung up the phone. At least I didn't have to worry about him always messaging me now. Hopefully he had gotten the message and would leave me alone.

"Well, that was very dramatic." Austin said raising his eyebrows.

"I always told you, you should have taken drama." Luce said impressed.

Putting my phone back in my bag I smirked at both of them. "Now, that's how you get rid of a boy."
