Callin's P.O.V

"Callin!" I bolted upright, awake

Alex stood at the foot of his bed I took over last night, he was already dressed. I looked at the clock. It was only ten thirty, Alex usually slept in at weekends.

"What?" I groaned

"Go and get ready, we are meeting up with the boys. They don't know you're back, it's a surprise." Alex said excitedly

I nodded my head and rolled out of bed. It took ages for me to get ready. I straightened my annoying curly hair until it was long and dead straight, then I put my makeup on carefully, wanting it to be perfect. I laughed to myself, the Callin they remembered used to hate makeup and only wore it when forced to. But she was also fat, I improved myself by taking diet pills and skipping meals. I still do when I sense the weight gaining. After putting a black vest top on with my high waisted shorts I put on my black converse. Then applied the final touches to my makeup.

"Alex I am ready!" I boomed down the stairs.

Alex was deciding between his beanie or snap back, he was such a girl sometimes fussing with his hair and clothes.

"Give me your hat!" I ordered

Alex raised an eyebrow, holding up the two hats. I snatched the beanie and put it on my head and adjusted my hair. Alex then grabbed his keys and we stalked out of the house over to the car I assumed was Alex's. I left when Alex just turned fifteen and I was still fourteen so I have missed out on quite a lot of family life. But I don't regret leaving, I needed to get away from things, from everyone. Alex turned on the radio and started humming along the song playing. I pulled out my phone and started playing a game.

"You don't mind if Austin rides with us, he's been riding with me for a few days now, as his car has been in repair... It should come out today." Alex asked

"Sure I don't mind Austin, he doesn't ask lots of questions so he is cool I guess." I admitted.

It was true, yesterday Austin didn't speak to me or even acknowledge my presence in theroom, which I liked as I hated it when people asked questions about my dark past. I don't want anyones pity.

Alex pulled into one of those perfect neighbourhoods with perfect houses, with the perfect green lawns. I chuckled to myself. Austin Mahone had the perfect life, he had the looks and I even had to admit that he was one of those boys that girls swooned over. The messy dark brown hair, the big hazel eyes. Tanned and slightly muscular, he looked different from the other boys. Yes, I was intrigued, but I was different from most girls, I was difficult. The only boy I actually loved in this world is Alex and he is like a big brother to me, he may act like an over protective dad but he was that only family I had left...

Alex pulled into Austin's driveway, his house wasn't as big as the others but it still had a perfect look about it, with a basketball hoop in the corner. Within seconds, Austin was jogging towards the car wearing ripped jeans, a plain white top and the same red trainers Alex was wearing. His hair was wavy and messy, it suited him.

"Hey Alex!" he said as he got into the back seat

He smiled and nodded at me "Morning Callin."

I simply smiled back at him and turned back to my phone. I had a text message from my ex boyfriend back in London. Caine, we left on an awkward note as he kissed me the night before I left at my leaving party and I didn't exactly push him away. In the morning I told him that I wanted to be single for when I went back to Texas, he was upset but agreed that we shouldn't try and do the whole long distance relationship.

*Hey ring me, we need to talk*

I turned my phone off, the last thing I wanted to do was ring him. Things in my life were already complicated, one of them was that I had to go back to school tomorrow. I had done some unforgettable things before I left for London. I flirted with the PE teacher and he flirted back during lessons, and one night he kissed me while he was drunk at the Summer dance. I obviously pushed him away as everyone was watching. I broke my ex boyfriend's nose because he announced to the school why he cheated on me. One, because I refused to have sex with him. Also because I had 'gained weight'.

"Cal, are you okay?" Alex asked, concerned

I gave him a fake smile "Yeah of course I am, why wouldn't I be?"

Alex knew me to well and could tell something was wrong. He also knew I would start shouting if he asked questions. I hated it when people confronted me, because when people asked questions it reminded me of when my Mum would question me all the time and fuss over me. Austin cleared his throat, breaking the awkward tension and thankfully changed the subject.

"AC, are you trying out for the basketball team this year?" Austin asked

I turned around and mouthed 'thankyou' to Austin for saving my ass from Alex's lecture. Alex had completely forgotten about me and smiled stupidly. He started chanting the schools chant which made me cringe and cover my ears. I never had school spirit when watching school basketball games. I would only cheer when the opposite team scored. Me and my friend Luce would throw things at the cheerleaders, mainly at Kim Wild. She was another reason why I left.

Luckily, Alex pulled into the car park of a cute little breakfast cafe called Lenny's. I could see Zach and Robert sat at a table through the window. To keep the whole surprise going, I hid behind Austin's tall frame. We made our way slowly towards the boys, I wasn't nervous as it was only Zach and Robert. I had known them since the age of eleven. 

"Hey guys whats up?" Zach stood up and hugged Alex

When he went to hug Austin, I jumped out from behind his scaring him, when he recovered he slowly eyed me up and down.

          "Cal is that you?" Zach said "You look like a completely different person, wheres the curly hair and that big bum I used to love looking at?"

  

"Not to say that you don't look good... You actually look pretty hot but you looked better before." Zach stated

I rolled my eyes as the others agreed, apart from Austin who sat awkwardly listening. I had almost forgotten that he joined the school after I left for London.

"So how was London? Any boys we should know about?" Robert asked suspiciously

I was already getting annoyed about the amount of questions being asked, but I managed to keep calm and smile.

"There was one boy called Caine, we dated until I left back for Texas... I guess he was more committed to the relationship than I was." I said dazed

There was an awkward silence until Austin broke it again. "I think we should have a party, a welcome back party for Callin."

"Yes!" Zach stood up, making everyone in the cafe stare at him like he had mental issues. "We all know Callin and I like a good party, remember the New Years party and Alex kicked my ass!"

I definitely remembered that night I accidently kissed Zach instead of Ian and then Alex saw us and went mad, but as a group we all promised to keep it a secret.

"Oh god, Zach I hate to admit this but you were actually a good kisser." I face palmed myself for admitting that

Zach lifted up his top, revealing his quite nice six pack "Babe, everyone wants a piece of this!"

I looked away from Zach, sighing. Some people never change. I looked at Austin who had been already staring at me. He quickly looked away, had he been looking at me this whole time?

Hey guys first authors note, sorry if I don't update fast enough I am dyslexic so I have trouble with spelling and punctuation but I don't let that get in the way as I love writing. So I have to send it off too my editor who then checks it and sends it back to me so it's sort of a long process, I could post without it being edited but then people could get annoyed with my mistakes?
