Author Notes- Kind of a weird ending? Also shitty grammar so have fun with that, four people that reads this shit.

Jaz looked down at the notebook with a heavy sigh.

Looking down at her phone, she finally realized the app was done downloading. It was named 'Scanslate and Translate' and was an app where you could take a picture of something and it would translate, and despite the horrible name, it had great reviews.

Opening the notebook, she slowly took a photo of the french page. Eventually, it finally translated.

'I decided to continue the investigation that others have submitted to me. The theories are true, en I saw it firsthand. Mya was moved away and destroyed as I watched them remove the chip from her head. They warned me not to talk about it, otherwise. I pretended to forget, but I know they are looking for me. They want to have fun in their killings. They want us all to be blind. Color was the first part. Then the world can go blind forever, letting them play like puppets with us in a theater.'

Of course the translate wasn't perfect, but it was something. It could have possible been one of the last things Dan would ever write, besides the note Jaz was given. Copying and pasting it, she put it in the group chat that the group of friends created what seemed like years ago.

Abby: Omg..

Aiden: What does it mean by 'otherwise'?

Madi: Probably kill him

Jaz: how are we suppose to stop them?!?

Conversation has been deleted. More info?

Jaz looked at the screen, terrified. What if someone was after them? Looking around, she felt paranoia rise in her.

The next day, the table at breakfast was silent. Hell most of the people in the cafeteria were silent. It was respectful silence, since a student had gone missing again. But, it was mostly full of fear.

Sitting there, Jaz looked across of her to see Madi and Abby, no longer attached at the hip. Aiden was looking at his phone, powered off. Sara was staring at the table, off in her own world. Dan would have made some gay joke and made the conversation flow. Now, with Dan most likely dead, there was nobody there to fill the gap he had left. Even if there was, they were all to shocked in grief to try and replace him.

"We have to do something about this." Sara was the first to whisper. Locking eyes with her, Jaz realized that she had felt the same. Confused, scared, lost. Looking at all of them, they all shared the same look in their eyes.

Confused.

Lost.

Terrified.

"What are we suppose to do? We're kids!" Aiden pointed out, keeping his voice low.

"So was all the others who went missing." Abby argued back, attempting to keep her voice as silent as theirs. "They killed Dan!"

"What are we suppose to do?" Madi asked, looking at them all for answers.

"We stop the cycle. Either get the information more out there or stop it entirely." Jaz spoke, her voice was at a normal speaking level, surprising her friends.

"How?" Aiden questioned, his voice remained at a whisper.

"These are middle schoolers, they'll go wild over anything." Jaz pointed out, her voice a little quieter than before.

"We just have to light the match to start the fire." Madi suggested, looking around at them all.

"How? We are literally losers." Sara pointed out, getting the rest of the group to look at her.
