Cold. That's what it felt when the darkness consumed you. Close to freezing, but just not enough. Feeling his surroundings, the boy slapped against a wall.

"Is anybody there?" He yelled out loud, hearing a gasp in response. Multiple gasps at once.

"There's nobody there." Muttered a voice in front of the boy. He felt his way around as felt a face. "S-something's touching my face!"

"I'm Dan, whose face is this?" He joked, attempting to hide his fear. He felt hands brush against his.

"Dan? Where are you?" The voice asked as he grasped for a hand.

"Where are you? I can't see anything." The boy commented, sitting on his knees in fear.

"Let us see the spirit within these walls!" He heard a voice scream as he heard glass shatter.

He opened his eyes to see his friends, Madi standing already in fear, Abby was there next to an Ouija board, and Jaz was sitting off to the side crying.

"Guys? What's going on?" He looked around after asking, seeing the place was dark and destroyed. There was mysterious stains everywhere. That's when I noticed the camera sitting on a stand.

"Oh, okay. Some type of prank? Haha, funny guys." The boy smirked, crossing his arms.

"Dan?" Abby asked, as the planchette on the board started to float. The camera's red light remained on.

"Uh, yea? Abby, what's going on?" the boy grew concerned, seeing it float.

"But, your dead." Jaz mumbled, as the boy's eyes grew wide.

"No, I just woke up. What's going on." The boy looked at his friends, noticing they looked older. Yet, he just saw them a few days ago.

"Jaz, he might freak out." Madi muttered, reaching for the camera.

"Guys, this is our friend. His name is Dan." Abby spoke to the camera, kinda like a YouTuber.

"What's going on?" The boy yelled louder, causing the Ouija board to be thrown across the room.

"Dan. Your dead." Madi spoke, as the boy grew silent. Then, erupted a cry of agony as a gust of wind blew into the three's faces.

"NO I'M NOT! I WANNA GO HOME!" The boy cried into his hands, as he screamed, the little remains of the room started to fall.

"Dan, look at me." Madi spoke softly, as the boy calmed slightly. "Can you tell us what happened?"

-FLASHBACK-

Madi, Jaz, Dan, and Abby were doing some studies after school.

"Why the fuck is this stupid paragraph still talking about Alexander mother fucking Hamilton?!?" Dan groaned as he hit himself with a book.

"Stop it. Unless you have a better idea how we're going to pass history, we have to study." Madi told him off, as she fixated herself on the book. Dan's phone buzzed four times, catching their attention to it.

"Sorry, just someone." He uttered, grabbing it and typing quickly.

"Who is it?" Abby asked, putting down the book as Madi leaned her head on Abby's shoulder.

"Someone." He muttered, putting his books in his bag. He then suddenly walked out of the room.

"We gonna follow him?" jaz asked, looking up to the two. They nodded and got up while they quietly went after Dan. By the time they walked out of the room into the hall, however, Dan was gone.

he was running, tears spilling down his face. He had already thrown his phone against a wall, and he ran. Until he stopped at a house. Well, it wasn't a house anymore. The only thing left was bits of wood and bricks. You could see where doors laid, as he walked where he suspected his room was. Everything he had, gone.

Everything he loved, gone.

Everything he was, gone.

It wasn't like his parents loved him, yet he knew they didn't deserve to die.

He cried.

And cried.

And cried.

And cried.

Once he ran out of tears to shed, he looked around the rubble. There were shards of glass surrounding a chip of what looked like a shell.

A turtle shell.

Sheldon's shell.

He really did have nothing. He sat and watching the sun fall, as he heard rustling behind him. He let the noise come up behind him before he turned to see a familiar face.

-END OF FLASHBACK-

The boy suddenly cried louder, yet the chaos surrounding him was silent.

"Dan, who killed you ?" Madi spoke louder, praying the boy could hear her over his crying.

"Renee." He whispered, looking up at his friend. "How long have I been dead?"

"Ten years." Madi looked like she was close to tears as the camera laid up right, facing the two. Abby held Madi's shoulder, getting Madi to turn and cry into Abby's arms.

"I'm sorry." He sounded alarmed, getting up and running towards the two. He went right through them. Jaz could see him, she went around him when she ran to support her friend.

Dan watched as his friends held one another crying. He looked at the camera. He looked back to his friends.

So many questions, yet no answers.

The next thing dan saw was a bright white. Then nothing again, but this time, it was warm.
