I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing at 9 am. It was Zion. "Hello?"
"She's here."
"What?"
"She's here Chantel, our daughter is here!" I sat up in the bed with a smile slowly forming.
"Oh my god Zion, congratulations! When can we come visit?"
"The nurses said in 2 hours you're all free to come and see her."
"Oh I'm so excited, I'll see you then. Tell Cindy we love her and can't wait to see her."
"I love you guys too!" I hear her say.
"See you soon guys."
"See you." He says and hangs up. Nick looks at me as he just woke up.
"Who was that?"
"It was Zion, Cindy just gave birth." I say excited.
"What? No way!"
"Yup, we're gonna go visit in 2 hours."
"Oh my God, this is so exciting. Why didn't he call me?"
"He probably did, you just always have Your phone on silent." I say. Nick looks at his phone.
"Yup, you right."
"Why do you have a phone if you're not go-"
"Babe don't start." He says and pulls the sheet over his head. I just chuckle before waking Angelo up and getting him ready.
2h later
We walk into the room and there I see Zion holding the little baby while Cindy was just relaxing. "Oh my God guys hi!" Cindy whispers not waking the baby up.
"Congratulations C." I whisper back and give her a little present.
"You guys didn't have to."
"Oh stop it's just a little something for the baby." I say and walk over to Zion. Angelo walked after me.
"I wanna see baby." Angelo says. I pick him up.
"You have to be quiet Angelo, the baby is sleeping."
"Uncle baby?" Angelo whispers.
"Yes, that's uncles baby." Zion answers giving Angelo a little kiss.
"Can I hold her?" I ask.
"Sure go ahead." I give Angelo over to Nick and take the little babygirl into my embrace. Her tiny body was in my hands and I gotta say I've missed this feeling. I start rocking her gently back and forward.
"What's her name?"
"Isabella, but we call her Bella." Cindy says.
"Bella ciao, Bella ciao, Bella ciao, ciao, ciao." I sing. La Casa De Papel fans know what I'm talking 'bout ;). Bella was so cute. The door opens and It was Alissa and Edwin.
"How are you guys doing." They whisper and greet us all. We were all talking about old memories and future plans. Life is such a pleasant surprise and at this moment all we're waiting for is Alissa to get pregnant as well. Angelo was around the baby all the time he was so happy and though she was so cute. He looked at Cindy and smiled.
"You are her mama?" He asks. Cindy giggles.
"Yes love, I'm her mama."
"So everybody have a mama?" He than asks.
"Yeah, everybody has a mom, somebody has to give birth to you." Zion answers.
"But mama, why don't you have mama?" He asks me. Everybody looked at me since the topic of my mother's death hasn't come up in conversation yet.
"Well baby, my mama is an angel."
"She died?"
"Unfortunately, yes. Your other nonna isn't alive."
"Oh." He says and walks over to me and hugs me. "It's gonna be okay, nonna is like your mama." I giggle at his cuteness.
"Yes bebe, she is." I say and give him a little kiss. That went better than expected, I though he was gonna ask a lot of questions.
