King hangs her head as she sits in the office waiting for Charlie, her head throbbing and her eyes sore. She just wants to sleep more but the cop who woke her wouldn't allow that. She was made to change into clean clothes and bought to his office, waiting for ages all alone.

He kicks the door open purposely, King jumping as it bangs against the wall. She rubs her head. "Jesus."

"Oh he won't save you now." Charlie snaps, going behind his desk. He slams his hands on it, receiving the same response he got from the door, leaning over to stare at her. "You're an idiot. Stupid. What did you do leave your brain and common sense behind!?" He yells.

"Jesus, it was just a party!" she yells, rubbing her temples as she slides lower in the chair, pulling the strings on her hoodie to hide in it.

"You drive while drunk!!!! You idiot!!!" He yells.

"YEAH I AM! SO WHAT! YOU ARE NOT MY DAD!" She yells at him.

Charlie glowers. "I'm as good as. And while your dad is laid in that bed fighting to come back to you, I'm gonna keep you safe. I thought you were capable of that yourself but you're just as reckless as your broth-"

"Don't you dare compare me to that self centered prick." Kingsley growls, slamming her hands on the desk and leaning in so her face is inches from him. They glare at one another. "I don't have siblings. I don't have a family. Don't you understand? I'm done." She snaps, backing up slowly before she storms out.

When she reaches the outside of the station she has to resist growling. She crosses her arms over her chest, walking slowly down the steps. "What do you want."

Rachel stands from where she leans on Kings truck. "Hey... I heard what happened. It was kinda silly of you-"

"You here to lecture me? Just get to the point, I'm not in the mood." King snaps.

Rach sighs deeply and slips her hands into her pockets. "I am... So sorry, sorry for what I said and how I've treated you. For being suspicious of you. You're my sister, I shouldnt have doubted that. You belong here just as much as Jake and Rebecca and I do. But can you blame me for being cautious? Especially when you go pulling stunts like this."

"Oh blah blah you're boring me." King snaps, climbing in her truck. She flashes a sweet, sarcastic and entirely fake smile to her sister as she backs up and drives away, a pissed Charlie coming out to talk to her.

King sighs as she drives off, out of their sight. She hates acting like such a spoilt brat but she can't be real anymore. Shes been knocked down too many times for her liking and she done. It's a defence mechanism. If she'd dare spoken to her mom how she did to Charlie, however, she'd be six feet under by now. She wouldn't have gotten away with it. She knows what she said to Charlie was harsh but right now she doesn't care. She doesn't care who she hurts, herself included, and she doesn't care what happens.

She sighs and parks up at the beach; she ties her hair back, not caring its messy, and slips her sunglasses on again as she climbs out. Fresh air is good, fresh air is needed - alone time is needed. She knows it won't be long before someone tracks her down but hopefully she can manage a bit of time.

With her hands buried deep in her pockets, her hood pulled up and her head down, King begins to walk along the quiet shoreline. A few dog walkers pass, joggers run by and disappear in a couple of moments.

The best part of all? It's quiet. Minus the birds and the sound of the waves - it's quiet.

Until.

"Are you actually stupid!?!"

King sighs and spins around, her arms crossed over her chest. "And are you deaf? Didn't I say leave me the fuck alone?"

Jacob glares, storming closer. "Drink driving? Serious!? While dad is laid up. He's gonna be so dis-"
