Alice and Jasper are unaware of what happened at the graveyard. Thea, too. For now, King has time to process it. She sobs as the shower water rolls down her face, over her aching body. She leans her head on the glass door and cries, unable to hold it in. Clio is doing this because she and Caius were born? Because she couldn't do what parents do and just carry on? It all seems so pathetic and pointless. For 3000 years she's kept her and her brother apart, caused them so much pain, because a man left her. How... Mundane.

Eventually she just stands there for a moment, watching the water roll over her hands and onto the floor. She turns her hands palms up and stares at the water puddles that form, overflowing and spilling over in seconds. She stares at the water, not really thinking much at all. And before she knows it, the water has slowly gathered in a small sphere, and hovers about an inch off her palms.

Her eyes widen and she stares at them, quickly shaking her hands as she pulls them away. The water falls to the floor and gets washed away, just like normal. "What the fuck..."

She turns the shower off and dries quickly, changing into some leggings and a t-shirt she stole from Jasper. She heads into the main area of the hotel room and freezes, a woman stood in the middle. "Who the fuck are you? You've got 5 seconds to explain before I call-"

"The leech on foot is a bit disoriented from her snack. And the leech couple are having technical difficulties with their GPS - the hotel suddenly doesn't exist." The woman smirks. "We have time. I saw what you did."

"What I did? In the shower?" King backs up, wide eyed.

"Oh god no. I saw what you did while you confronted Clio at your current birth mothers grave." She says.

"I didn't do-" King gasps. "Wait - the wind was me!?"

The woman nods. "Yes it certainly was. I take it you're unaware of your gift."

King laughs and covers her mouth. "Gift? No, I'm not a vam-"

"Humans can have gifts too. You're a witch, Kingsley. A half witch. Have been through every incarnation of you."

"No I'm not. How did I never figure it out!?" King demands. "Tell me who you are!!!"

"I'm the answer to your prayers. My name is Kali. My descendants have been protecting you your whole existence, since your first reincarnation to now."

"Protecting me?" King scoffs. "From what?"

"Everyone. Your mom. Brother. Other witches." Kali shrugs, watching King. "It isn't a safe world for a half breed like you."

"Half breed, wow, charming. My brother isn't a danger to me - neither of them are." King snaps, grabbing her phone. It glitches as she tries to unlock it. "Stop! Why are you doing this!?" King demands, throwing the phone down as she glares at Kali.

Kali smirks. "I'm protecting you. Like I said." She looks around. "We should go. The leeches will be here any minute-"

"I'm not leaving them." King crosses her arms.
