After that fateful day, it took King almost a year to find her way back to her body again. Once again, she dug herself out of her grave, only this time her family were waiting; they buried her on the res, in the trees by the family home. Just so someone could visit every day, every few hours. After that, however, her life had no meaning. She let Elijah go. She didn't try to find him, apparently he didn't remember much and he spent a lot of time in the hospital. His family found him again and as far as she knows he's doing well.

For her, she's living in her dad's old place. Her and Jacob have spent a lot of time working on it, making it more modern and extending it. It now boasts 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. They kept the ramp, a reminder of their dad. And there's one more reason King still lives, while her heart still beats, now she has nothing left.

Her daughter.

Yep.

Kingsley Paige is a mom. When she came back to life, she returned to her drinking days for a short time to cope. She'd lost another dad and her fiance, and once again she was alive when she didn't want to be. She was careless, stupid, naive. But the greatest gift of all came from that.

Billie Esme Black was born weighing 6lb exactly, with the darkest hair and the brownest eyes. And from the moment she was born, Kings heart beat only for her. It was like all the struggles she'd been through were so her daughter could save her. She doesn't have her mate, but she has a new soulmate, a piece of her dad and her mom.

Everyone was shocked, of course, but King has a tendency to shock them regularly. She likes to mix things up. Since that day, the day she became a mom, they've all seen a change in the girl they love. She's no longer a kid.

The irresponsible behaviours, the lack of value on her life, the attitude - all disappeared. Esme and Rachel were ready to jump in and help with Billie but there was no need. King is a natural. And she's got her big brothers to help.

Living with Jacob has been a lot better than the first time around. They have their own space, they're both grown up now, and Billie helps keep the tension down whenever they bicker. And Caius comes by every few weeks, sometimes even more frequently.

King squints as she opens her eyes slowly, little fingers poking her. "Mm. Bibi, no." She groans.

Billie giggles and climbs onto her mom, patting her head. "Up!" she shrieks, bouncing.

King giggles tiredly and sits up, placing the almost toddler on her lap. "Up? It's 5am! Up is in another hour."

Billie grins at her mom; at a year an a half old, she's got far more sass that is possible. Well, when her mother is King and her aunts are Alice and Rose, Rachel, Rebecca and every other female in their life, she's bound to be a ball of sass and attitude. She points to the door. "Ja."

"You want Jacob? Let's go get him then." She giggles, setting her daughter down; she immediately waddle runs out of the room, shrieking.

"Uuuuup!" She yells, banging on Jakes door.

King leans in her doorway with a smirk as her brother slowly opens the door, half asleep. "Kingsley... I know you think this is cute but it's 5am." He rubs his eyes.

"I know. And 5am is our new wake up time, come on." She says. "You promised a certain little madam that you'd take her for i-c-e c-r-e-a-m." She smirks.

"Ugh, fine. Good job she's cute." He mutters, scooping the kid up.

Ness comes out behind him, rubbing her eyes. "Good morning."
