Caius grabs her face, his eyes wide, as he stares down at his sisters tanned teary face. "How how how!? When!"
King giggles as she sniffles, cupping his face in an act of mimicking him. "I don't know! And I haven't really kept track, ask Lija."
His eyes flick to Elijah who's stood a few feet away, watching his girlfriend and her brother reunite. "Who the heck are you."
"Elijah Riddle, sir." He smiles nervously. "Your sisters... Boyfriend? I guess."
"You guess? Boyfriend? Why are you here?" He looks down at King.
She wiggles out of his grasp and stands smiling wide at him as she steps back to take Eli's hand. "We came looking for you. And I vowed to not leave until you came back - I knew you would. No one else thought so, but I knew."
Caius seems beyond confused. "You... Waited here, for years let's say, for me to come back? You didn't even know if I'd be here. I haven't been here in 2 years." He says.
Elijah looks at Caius. "We've been here just shy of that, we figured we'd just missed you, but no one else had any other leads. They all wanted to keep King in the dark anyway, she didn't want that."
Caius rubs his head. "Jesus King... You ran away, didn't you?"
"Maaaaaaybe...." King smiles cheekily. "I woke up like 15 months after I died - Jacob kept count apparently - and I was mad when they told me you'd disappeared. Why did I want to be alive without you? That was the whole point of us ending Clio. You weren't here and I was. That... Hurt." She admits, frowning. "I didn't want to be around them, pretend I'm happy to be alive and with them, I didn't want to be happy to see them. I wanted you. You're my brother. You have fought so hard for me and you to be together, to have a bond, and yet you were gone. They didn't care about that and that angered me more. So I left."
Caius is silent for a moment. "Right.... Where does that twig come into it?" He nods to Elijah.
"Hey!" Eli scowls. "I bulked up since we got here."
King laughs and kisses his cheek. "He actually saved me. Found me when I came back. And he kept me safe while I ran away - I was sorta... Still dying? I woke up in the state I died in, basically." She says. She sees Caius growing mad and she scrambles to cover her words. "But I was fine! I didn't get an infection or pop a stitch or anything. I think it did me more good being away from hospitals and stuff. And, well, being the only two people on an island pretty much draws you together." She smiles at her man.
"I know it breaks all the rules for me to know," Eli begins, looking nervous as Caius' intense heated gaze turns to him, "But I really do love your sister. I'm a firm believer in things happening for a reason. I found her for a reason. I let her drag me along in her ridiculous plan to wait on some deserted island for a brother who I didn't even know if he did exist - she could've been madder than I already think she is." He smirks as King elbows him. "But I won't tell a soul about what you all are. Because it would hurt her. And I've spent the last 2 years of my life ensuring she doesn't get hurt or sad or lonely. So, um, please. Don't be mad she told me." He grows nervous at the end of his speech.
Caius is silent as he looks between the scrawny boy and his sister. She does look happy; healthy, tanned, alive. Very much alive. And he has no hint of malice or anything bad in his voice. His eyes seem kind... He suits her. Caius sighs deeply. "Can I just hug my sister? Please."
King smiles wide and rushes into his arms, closing her eyes as he holds her close. "I missed you..."
"You have no idea how much I have missed you." Caius smiles small.
