*next morning*

I'm going crazy. Today, I'm supposed to meet with Charlotte but I have a bad feeling. I should tell Zane...

*Arissa calls Zane*

the number you have dialed is not available, please try again. 

That's weird. Zane always picks up his phone. Why doesn't he at this time? I went down for breakfast.

*mom eats a spoon of oatmeal*

"Arissa, have you thought of what Mrs. McCarthy said? Do you know what she was talking about?"

"Honestly, I have no clue what she is talking about. She asked me to meet her later this evening and she said she'll tell me. I'll go see her this evening and hopefully she'll leave me alone. This is where she wanted me to meet her."

*Arissa shows her mom the location*

*evening rolls*

I get ready to leave. I grabbed my bag behind a picture frame of mine. 

*picture falls and breaks*

Shoot. My picture fell and glass is everywhere. I bent down to try to clean it but then I looked at my watch and I was running late. I removed the photo away from the broken glass. 

*Arissa leaves to the hotel Charlotte sent*

When I arrived at the hotel, I was thinking of ditching Charlotte. I didn't have a good feeling and it was a little sketchy that we're at a hotel. 

*Arissa enters the hotel*

I just hope that nothing bad happens today. 

*two guards came over to Arissa*

"Miss James. We're here to escort you to Madame McCarthy."

Is this essential? I can literally walk on my own. I don't need an escort. But because I don't want any trouble, I'm going to have them escort me. 

*Arissa gets in the elevator and goes to the top floor*

We get to the room Charlotte was in and Charlotte is sitting on the couch with wine in her hand waiting for me.

"Mrs. McCarthy? I'm here...what was it that you wanted to tell me?"

*Charlotte takes a sip of wine and gives Arissa the side eye*

"Miss James, please take a seat."

*Arissa sits on the couch across from Charlotte*

"Miss James, have you figured out what you took from me?"

Oh my goodness, why does she keep asking me this? I'm so annoyed of this stupid question.

"Mrs. McCarthy, can you just tell me face to face what I took from you exactly? I'm going insane from thinking about what you're trying to say."

"Miss James, do you promise to give it back if I tell you?"

"It depends on what it is. Depends on if I'm willing to give it up."

"Miss James, I want you to break up with Zane."

That's what she meant? She meant that I took Zane away from her? She is definitely insane.

"I...I don't understand."

"Miss James, I'm not going to repeat myself again. Break up with Zane and give him back to me. I'm willing to give you one million or more if you'll like. I don't care how you do it but once you do, tell me and I'll give you the money."
