*the wedding day*
I'm getting ready for the wedding. I didn't expect that mom was going to have me dressed too. Rose gold dress with five inch heels. I'm more comfortable in sneakers.
*mom enters*
"Arissa? Wow, honey you look amazing! I remember when I looked just like you when I was at my prime. Just that I knew how to style myself a bit more."
Wow, I felt that burn.
"Mom, don't you think this is a bit too much? I mean the makeup. I look like a clown."
*extra long lashes and over outlined lips*
"Ari. This is beautiful and you don't look like a clown. Now the wedding is starting in two hours. I'm leaving to put on the dress."
As mom was about to leave...I stopped her.
"Mom!"
*mom looks back*
"You look very beautiful today. Adam is the luckiest man."
"Thank you sweetheart."
Cheesy words are not me for sure. But for the sake of mom, I'll do it.
I got bored staying in my hotel room, so I walked out to the roof balcony.
When I arrived, there was a man sitting out there touching his phone. He was wearing an outfit from the hotel, so he must've worked here. I approached him."Excuse me?"
He doesn't even bother looking up.
"Excuse me? Do you work here?"
"No."
He finally answered. But still not looking up. How arrogant.
"But aren't you wearing the work clothes for hotel staffs?"
*he stands up and gives a big sigh*
"Stop bothering me. I have things to do."
*leaves*
What an arrogant and rude staff. Just hope I won't see him again.
*two hours later*
*vows have been said and kissing the bride*
"Now would anyone else like to say something to the two amazing couples?"
I raised my hand and walk up to the stage.
"Hello everybody. I'm Kaelyn's daughter, Arissa. Um, there's not much I want to say but I want to say, thank you. Thank you mom for giving me life. You have gone your ways to make me happy for twenty-four years now. Today, you get to have your happiness again. Adam, I'm happy my mom met you and I'm sure you can make her smile everyday at anytime of the day. Mom, you don't have to worry about me anymore. I...love you."
*mom tears up*
I walked over to hug her.
*whispers, "what a considerate daughter." "Wow, how kind."*
I wiped her tears and said that I had to leave to go to the restroom.
*others walked up to the stage*
I lied. I was not going to the restroom. I only said what I said to make my mom happy. Others think that I'm such a good daughter. I pretended to be someone who I wasn't so others will like me. I walked gloomy out and pondered about my dad without looking up. Before I knew it, I had crashed into a hotel staff.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to. Here I'll help...you."
The hotel staff was the same man I saw at the roof balcony but he changed into a nice suit that I stained his wine on.
"I'm so sorry. Let me help you."
I lend my hand to help but he grabbed onto my hand and stopped me with the deadliest stare.
"What do you think you're doing? You think I haven't met enough girls like you? First, you approached me on the roof balcony and now this? Are you going to say it was an accident and that you didn't mean to and try to help me to make me fall for you? Well, you must think you're so smart. Stay away from me."
*throws my hand harshly*
I stand there dumbly as he walks away trying to process everything he just said to me.
I can't believe what he just said that. What a jerk. Did he really think I wanted to make him fall for me? He must be so conceited. Although all that happened, it took my mind off of the wedding for a bit. So I went back in.
