"Hi there. You look gorgeous and sexy," Dmitri greeted me as soon as he saw me walking towards him. He was leaning on his car with his arms crossed. I scanned his appearance and I can say na nag-iba ang aura niya. From a serious businessman look earlier, ngayon ay mukhang kaya niyang humakot ng mga babae sa lakas ng dating.
He is wearing a plain black shirt topped with his leather jacket, faded denim pants, and let's also mention his combat boots. Magulo rin ngayon ang buhok niyang palaging parang hinagod ng suklay. And in all fairness, he's better off without his glasses.
"Thank you. Your look suits you better," I complimented when I reached his place. Dmitri smiled at me and offered his hand.
"Really?" He raised his eyebrow.
"Yes! You look so fuckin' hot." My sentence made him laugh.
Pinagbukas niya ako ng pintuan ng kotse niya kaya agad naman akong sumakay. Hinayaan ko siyang magdesisyon kung saan kami papunta. I want to explore other bar na hindi ko pa napupuntahan.
An hour of trip, I saw the familiar road going to Demeter's and when we stopped right there, napakunot ang noo ko.
"I thought we're going to a bar?" I confusedly asked. Nginitian niya lang ako at pinagbuksan ng pinto. I accepted his hand and scanned the whole place. No'n ko lang din napansin na 'yong mga ilaw sa sumunod na floors ay nakabukas na, and that's when I got the idea.
"Okay, I'll just shut my mouth," I said, and he just laughed at me.
Hindi kami dumaan sa entrance ng restaurant kung hindi rito sa may gilid kung saan akala mo'y old stock house lang. The door is made of wood, and when you open it, you can see pitch black, but after a second, a light will guide your way going upstairs. Doon ko unti-unti narinig ang malakas na tugtog galing sa taas.
When we stepped inside, namangha ako sa nakita ko. The theme's still vintage but classy. Maganda siya at bagay sa lugar. You can see women and men dancing on a stage that looks like a table. Mayroon ding second floor kung saan may mga table pero tanaw ang nangyayari sa baba.
"This place looks amazing, Dmitri," I said in awe. He held my hand as we mixed through the crowd. Nagpunta kami sa may bar counter at doon naisipang pumwesto. I let him order my drink and the bartender gave me one of the best drinks here.
We talked about so much and I became more comfortable with him. His presence is as same as James and Kean's; even as his appearance shouts arrogance and authority. He's kind and easy to blend in with. It felt like I had found a long time friend in him.
"Let's dance!" aya ko sa kanya. Tatanggi na dapat siya pero hinila ko ang braso niya papunta sa gitna kaya he was left with no choice. At first, he was hesitant to dance pero sumasabay na rin siya sa akin. Natawa na lang kaming dalawa sa ginagawa namin until the song shifted to a different romantic one. Napairap na lang ako and planned to walk out pero biglang inilahad ni Dmitri ang kamay niya.
"Can I have this dance?" he asked. I stared at his hand and on his face for a few seconds and accepted his hand. I wrapped my arms around his nape as he held me at my waist. We sway our body in accordance to the rhythm of the song.
Dmitri was starring at me, that's why I did the same. Naramdaman kong humigpit ang hawak niya sa bewang ko pero hindi ko iyon ininda.
"Mou éleipses. You're really beautiful, Audrey. Breathe taking..." he said in a soft tone. Nginitian ko naman siya bilang sagot sa compliment niya kahit na hindi naintindihan ang unang sinabi.
Napaawang ang labi ko nang unti-unting lumapit ang mukha niya sa akin. Hindi ko alam kung iiwas ako o ano. Audrey, calm down!
I just closed my eyes when his lips crashed into mine. His lips were soft and sweet. He's giving me a light kiss and all I did was to respond.
There is something about Dmitri that gives of a different feeling that will makes you follow anything that he will command, at iyon ang nararamdaman ko ngayon. I felt obligated to kiss him back pero hindi labag sa loob.
Biglang napadilat ang mata ko nang makarinig ako ng tilian sa paligid at biglang paghiwalay sa akin ni Dmitri. I was stunned when I saw him lying on the floor while holding his face. Sinundan ko ng tingin kung saan siya nakatitig at nakita si Josiah.
What is he doing here? And don't tell me he punched Dmitri?!
"Fuck you, bastard!" Inis na sigaw ni Josiah at nagbabalak na namang sugurin si Dmitri pero agad na hinarang ko siya at sinanggi ang nakaumang niyang braso. Mukha naman siyang natauhan at napatitig sa akin. Tinaasan ko siya ng kilay at lumapit kay Dmitri. I helped him to stand up and faced Josiah again.
"What the hell is your problem?" Hindi ko maiwasang taasan ang boses ko dahil sa inis. Bakit siya nandito?! At bakit ba siya nanggugulo kung nagkataong nasa iisang lugar kami?!
"That bastard kissed you!" Galit na sagot ni Josiah na ikinakunot ng noo ko.
"And what is to you?" ganti ko sa kanya. Napahilamos siya ng mukha at sinubukan akong hawakan, pero agad akong umiwas. He stared intently on my face na para bang kinakabisa niya ito at may hinahanap na kung anong emosyon.
"Wala dapat! Pero naiinis ako, Audrey. Naiinis ako kasi may pakielam ako!" I don't get it and I don't get him!
"I don't get you. You know what, Josiah. Magpatingin ka na sa psychiatrist. Kung ano-ano na sinasabi mo—"
"Ganyan ka ba talaga kamanhid?! Damn, Audrey! I like you pero hindi mo makuha! I am so attracted to you to the point that I get jealous!" Napatanga ako sa sinabi niya. Agad siyang tumalikod sa akin at nagmamadaling umalis ng lugar na iyon habang ako ay naiwang nakatulala sa kung saan siya nakapwesto kanina.
