"is it love?" chapter 12

"What the.."

Donnie couldn't believe at what he was actually watching, he kept to look at them, at his brothers, in a position that brothers should never be in.
His confused look turns into a disgusted one, this is unacceptable:

"I suspected that you were hiding something, but this?!"

"Donnie, listen, lemme expla-"

"NO Raphael!" The purple turtle interrupted "I don't need explanation after seeing THIS, this is just- disgusting!"

"Cool Don really cool" the hot head said with a dark but sarcastic tone, meanwhile he got sit up, with Leo next to him. "I guess yer gonna tell to everyone how much we suck, aren't ya"

"Oh I would like so much. But guess what? I care about the family, and I don't pass my time with ruining it like YOU do. I prefer to leave Sensei and the others with the thought that you two are normal"
As he said it, he got out, Mikey looked at him with a frown, and after giving a look to Raph and Leo, he followed Donnie.

He closes his green eyes, sighing deeply, then he turns his head to his lover, just to get even more worried; Leonardo was looking down, his head low but his back straight, he was clenching fists tightly and his look was dark, really dark.

"Leo.. don't worry too much okay? We are gonna solve it.." he puts an hand on his brother's shoulder, but Leo just moved away, getting up, not turning at him.

"Let's end this."

Raph's heart just skipped a beat, but he keeps to hope that his lover didn't mean what he thought:
"End..what?"

Leonardo turned to him, and it's there that Raphael understood what he meant, even before that the blue one actually answered at it, he could guess it by his brother's eyes; cold, emotionless, there is no trace of love, all the warmth disappeared in a second inside Raph as a shiver went through his back.

"End this relationship. Donatello is right, we are ruining the family, it's a dishonor, it's disgusting, and it's totally wrong."

Fear, his heart was beating faster:
"Y-Ya can't say that! Ya like it! Ya started it all!!"

"And I am also gonna finish it all."

"B-But-"

"No buts Raphael. It's over, get a reason for it." He grabs his mask and belt "Don't come home too late, Splinter will notice your absence. " As he said it, he got out, leaving Raph alone in the room.

Green eyes were staring at that door, his heart stopped to beat quicker and he wasn't feeling fear anymore, he actually doesn't even know what he was feeling.
He looks down to his hands, his expression was always the same, eyes slightly widen and his mouth slightly opened, his breath slow and deep, his muscles and hands unflexed, total emptiness, that's what he was feeling.

He just broke up with me.

And it's there, that the realisation came, anger fills his chest, he clenches tightly his fists and his mind got blind, destroy everything, destroy this room, destroy all the things you did for him. After a loud growl he punches hardly the wall behind him, but the pain, that went through his knuckles, wrist, arm and shoulder, reached his mind, and seemed to wake him up, he looks at the wall that just punched, then he looks around and took a deep breath

"No, calm down Raphael, calm down, he was just upset, he didn't mean that, he will realise his mistake tomorrow, everything is gonna be fine, you're gonna come back together and solve this. Yes. Yes it will be like this" he smiled, but that smile was empty, he knows he was making fun of himself, he knows in deep that it's over for real, but he doesn't want to believe it, after all how is it possible? Just 20 minutes ago they were in the top of the love..no, Leo didn't mean that, this is gonna be fine.

Let's just ignore the first crack that formed on his heart.
