The New Neighbor

Chapter 1

Ashley's POV

As I finally finish doing the dishes. I hear a knock at my door.

I walk downstairs towards the door me thinking it was my mom but I deny it because there's probably lots and lots of traffic

I open the door to see two people standing there

"Yes?" I ask confused

"Hi we're your new neighbors is your mom or dad home?"

"No my moms out and I don't have a dad" I say

"Oh ok" she says

After a bit of silence i said start to talk

"So what's your name?" I ask politely

"Oh, I'm Liz and this is Lucas. But he likes to be called Luke." Liz says

"Hello! Welcome to our neighborhood you'll love it here!" I say

As Liz has a smile Luke just looks at the ground.

"Hi Luke!" I say with a cheery voice

He just smiles

"Luke say hello, please" Liz says

"Hi" Luke say looking up a little with a half smile

"Well we should get going, we gotta go move everything into the house. But we'll see you around!"

"Ok bye" I say closing the door

I just walk to my room looking outside my window

I try to see Luke but I'm guessing he's already inside.

I hear my phone ringing so I pick it up

"Hello?" I ask

"Hi honey I'm in traffic so I was hoping if it's ok if I'm not there for like maybe 2-3 hours?" My mom asks

"That's fine" I say with a smile

"Ok" she says as I hang up the phone

I wake up next morning and I realize it's Saturday.

But I also realize my moms not home, so I decide to call her.

As the phone rings it goes to voicemail

I call her later

As I go up to my room I hear something I can't tell though so I try to listen closely

I then hear someone singing

I run upstairs to my room and I look out the window to see Luke.

I just look and listen to him play I smile I never really guessed he could pull play guitar so well and sing amazingly.

Luke then looks up and sees me I try to hide because I'm really embarrassed but then he smiles so I don't know what to do so I smile back.
