The New Neighbor

Chapter 4

Ashley's POV

"Omg Ashley I'm-" as he tries to speak I cut him off

"It's ok Luke" I say smiling at him

He doesn't say anything he just smiles back. As I'm about to say something I hear the front door open.

"That must be my mom wait here" I say getting up and he nods

I walk downstairs and see my mom, I run up to her and hug her so tight that she probably can't breath. She hugs me back and I have a huge smile on my face right now.

"it feels like forever since I've last seen you!" She says smiling

"I know I'm so happy to see you too" I say a few minutes after we here a loud noise. I start to get really nervous because I know my mom doesn't know about Luke yet.

"Ashley what was that?" She questions

"I don't know stay here I'll go check" I say running upstairs to my room

When I walk into my room I see a ton of books on my floor

"Luke!" I try to say quietly but I try to yell at the same time

"Sorry" he says

"Why did you knock all the books over!" I start to calm down a bit

"I don't know" he says looking down

"Luke you know you can tell me. Right?" I say

"Yeah I know. I just can't tell you'll probably get mad at me." He say frowning

"Luke I won't get mad at you" I say walking towards him holding my hands of for a hug

He then hugs me back. I then hear my door open I turn around to see my mom standing right there. She's just standing there with her eyes wide open and her stuff is on the floor because she dropped it. Now she's just standing there with a shocked face. It just got really awkward especially when she walk in and me and Luke where hugging.

"Ashley who is this?" She says with an angry look on her face

"Oh I forgot to introduce you to Luke Hemmings he's the new neighbor next door. Him and his mom Liz Hemmings." I say with a shy smirk on my face

"Oh well, are you two dating?" She asks

"Mom!" I shout Luke is just standing there with an embarrassed look on his face

"Sorry" she says putting her hands in the air

"Please can we be alone" I say

"Ok, Ok I'm sorry. Hey did you draw him yet?" She asks me and my face becomes a little pink

"Mom! Please go!" I say

"Ok fine I'm sorry" she says with a smile walking out of my room. "Can you close the door?" I ask

"No" she says

I just sigh and look at Luke

"Sorry" I say with a smile

"It's ok. Your mom is really cool! I mean she just met me and she approves of me!" He says with a smile

"Yeah see if she approves of me having a boyfriend." I say with a smile "seriously if I got a boyfriend she needs to know everything about him! But with friends she doesn't care!" I say

"Oh" well now what?" He asks

"I don't know. Wanna go to the park?" I ask

"Sure" he says walking out of the room.

As I follow behind we walk out the door and start to walk.

As we get to the park I instantly walk to the swing. Like always. But Luke yells at me cause he wants to go on the monkey bars. He such a kid sometimes I can't even explain it. He's way to tall for the monkey bars doesn't he know that? I just nod my head and walk to the swings.

"Ashley!!! I wanna go on the monkey bars!" He whines

"Luke!!!" I mimic "your way to tall!" I say with a smile on my face

"How about we climb on top then? Then we can go on the swings!" He says smiling back

"Ugh! Fine!" I say getting off the swings and walk towards the money bars

"Yay!" Luke shouts

As we climb on top of the money bars and sit there talking. Soon enough Luke hopes off. After like 2 minutes.

"Luke! We just got on." I say hopping off

"I know I got bored" he says laughing

I just sigh and go on the swings. As Luke ran off somewhere I can't see.

5 minutes later I feel someone pick me up, and I can't see who it is.
