The New Neighbor

Chapter 6

Ashley's POV

I wake up to Luke playing his guitar and singing. I check my phone and see it's Saturday. Thank God. I go to the window and draw Luke playing his guitar hoping he won't see me. As I finish the drawing I don't hear Luke playing or singing anymore so I look to see why. I see him with his window open and him smiling. I just laugh and put down my drawing and open my windows to smile back.

"Hello!" I say with a huge smile on my face

"Hi! Why so happy today?" He asks

"I don't know. Why I can be happy?" I say

"You can always be happy thats fine with me!" He says happily

As I'm about to speak I hear my mom calling me to come down. I wave goodbye to Luke close my window and go downstairs. As I see my mom standing there I get cereal.

"Yes?" I ask her

"Actually no I can't tell you now I'll tell you later." She says

"Ok?" I say with a confused face

I sit down at the table and eat. I finish up and I go back upstairs and I start to get dressed. I wear jean shorts that fit perfectly with a white shirt with music notes. I just put a little foundation and some mascara to make my baby blue eyes pop out more. I look in the mirror to see what I can do with my dirty blonde hair. So after 2-3 minutes or so I decide to keep it straight at the top and curl it at the bottom.

I go back downstairs and decide to go to the park. So I put my black converse on and head out the door.

I'm surprised that I see Luke there on the swings on his phone. Usually when we come together he's on the monkey bars and then runs off. Ok, Ok fine that was only once I know. But anyways I walk over I front of him and he looks up and smiles.

"Ha never thought you would be on the swings!" I laugh

"I still like the monkey bars though" he laughs

"I think you read my mind or something because I-" I start but then get cut off

"Ashley your beautiful today!" Luke says

I look to see what's he's wearing and of courses he's wearing a black shirt that says 'You Complete Me' and black jeans with a hole in the knee. I then look at his eyes which are baby blue. Like mine. Then his hair. Which is dirty blonde like mine. Oh and of course he has it in a quiff. Again Of Course. I guess I never really guessed it we look the same. I mean same eyes same hair same sense of humor. I'm guessing people at school think we're brother and sister or something.

"Thank you" I say as I feel myself blush a little

"You don't have to thank me to state the truth." He says with a little laugh

As I sit on the swing next to him we just talk for awhile. Soon I see Ashton, Michael, and Calum coming towards us. Luke gets up and walks over to them and smiles at them and gives them a high five. What? I thought Luke didn't like Ashton?!

"Hey umm Luke I thought you didn't like Ashton? No offense Ashton by the way." I say

"None taken" Ashton says with a smiley face

"Well we met up like a day or two ago and we made a band" he says with a smile

"That fast!" I say with a surprised look on my face

"Well we do YouTube videos online." He says

"Any songs you wrote?" I ask

As look turns around and talks to the boys he turns back at me.

"Ok we will sing the chorus and that's it!" He says with a smile

"Ok" I say sitting back on the swing

and I know know that I'm so down.

Your lipstick stain is a work of art I got your name tattooed in an arrow heart,

and I know that I'm so down!' He sings

"It's bad were still working on it. Also it sounds way better with are instruments" he says smile and walking towards me

"It's not bad! It's kinda catchy" I say laughing a bit "well I have to go now. Bye!" I say walking home

I get home to my mom running towards me

"Yes?" I ask confused

"Honey please sit down. I have to tell you the thing that I was gonna tell you this morning!" She says

"Ok" I say sitting down

"Ok! You and I are going to move to Florida!"

"WHAT!" I yell

"Don't use that tone with me missy!" She says

"Mom I love it here why do we have to move! Do you even like Australia?!?!" I say

"Yes but I found a house in Florida with a pool!" She says cheery

"You wanna move just for a freaking pool! What the heck is wrong with you!" I say running out of the house crying.
