DAJI
A piercing scream echoed around the cave as Daji dug her razor sharp nail into the side of Jin Ling. He was half coherent, his eyes rolled into the back of his head in pain as the beautiful demon straddle on top of him stared down at him. An evil smile lit her face as she looked down at the helpless human below her. His skin was covered in a sheen of sweat, dirt and blood. His skin was covered in fine trails of small gashes and wounds. He was tied by his hands and legs to the altar that Jiang Cheng had been on before in the middle of the expansive cave. His cries echoed around the top of the cave and down the multitude of tunnels.
She licked along his chest and lapped at the blood that was seeping down the fresh wounds she had just opened up along his bared chest. His whole body shivered at her touch. He had given up trying to struggle out of the iron tight bounds and he tried to wiggle out of her touch but he was barely keeping consciousness at this point. She had been leeching most of his spiritual energy for what felt like hours. He didn't know how much longer he would be able to stay conscious.
"Monster. They w-will. Find you..." he choked out and it was replaced with another scream as Daji dug her claws into the side of his ribs once more and raked them along his side.
As if in perfect response, Daji stilled and looked up as she felt the barrier at the entrance of the cave break. "I didn't think your friends would find us so quickly." She snarled and her face transformed into a hideous growl of frustration.
She looked at the tunnel as she heard the fierce and rapid footsteps approaching. She leaned down over Jin Ling and her face transformed back to the soft beautiful features. "Stay still my dear one. I will be back after I take care of your friends." She turned and looked back at the tunnel her face only mere inches from his. She sniffed the air and an evil sneer crossed her features, her eyes glowing a fierce red. Her beautiful face was a stark contrast between the evil that exuded from her.
"A female cultivator." She sniffed once more. "It's the one that Pipa played with from before." She turned to Jin Ling and placed a delicate kiss on his cheek and lapped at the dried tears on his face. "Don't you worry, I will be back and we will continue soon. They will run into my trap and they will join you my love. So no tears you will not be alone in death." She stroked his hair out of his face and her glowing eyes locked on his as she dug her nails into him once more. "For now I need you as bait."
Another scream erupted from his throat and Jin Ling's entire body shuddered and the last bit of energy escaped him as he heard the footsteps grow closer. No run...he thought as darkness took over him.
Huang Jin had followed the tunnels and trusted her own instincts; she could only sense small traces of the trail she had been following but it had been sheer luck that she had followed the right tunnel through the maze like underground. Chang Su had continued to throw down the talisman trail and it left a steady glow of light behind them. Another ear piercing scream erupted around them echoing through the cramped dimly lit tunnel they had been following.
Chang Su and Huang Jin saw the tunnel open into an expansive cave system. In the middle was a large altar and a small form was bound lying on top of it. "Jin Ling!" She had instantly recognized his clothes. They looked torn to shreds laying in scraps over his chest and they were covered in a thick layer of dirt and blood. Some of it had already stained his clothes dark red, having already dried. The hairs on the back of Huang Jin's neck rose.
"Wait." Huang Jin grabbed Chang Su's wrist as he had stepped forward, she looked at him and she looked around eyeing the surroundings. This was most definitely a trap.
She tried to send another sensing spell but it was useless. She looked worriedly over at Chang Su and shook her head. Her heart was hammering in her chest. She had already scanned the area for any signs of Jiang Cheng as well and hadn't felt anything. The spiritual energy in here was thick and it interfered with her senses. She had a really bad feeling about this.
