Peter Parker was amazing at his job. He was trained to never question what his boss told him to do. No matter how much Peter doubted their ways, he couldn't, and wouldn't, do anything about it.
He was sitting on his bed, which was just a mat and a couple of blankets and pillows on the ground, when his boss opened the door and walked in. His bodyguard closed the door behind them and the boss threw a folder at Peter. The boy grabbed it and opened it. Inside was a picture of a man in a suit. He was smiling and wearing colored sunglasses.
"That's your next job. Tony Stark. All the information you need is in that folder." Peter nodded his head and the two men left him alone. He sighed as he stared at the picture. He stood up and prepared everything he needed.
—time skip—
Peter was wearing jeans and a gray jacket, hood pulled over his head. He was following the man, far enough that the man shouldn't get suspicious. The man turned right and, not too long after, Peter followed. He stopped as he saw he was facing an alley and then he was pulled in further then pushed up against a wall.
"Why are you following me?" Peter tried to calm his breathing as he kept a straight face.
"I'm just a really big fan."
"No you're not. If you were a fan, you would've tried to talk to me about two miles ago." Peter stared into the mans eyes then looked down and sighed.
"I was supposed to kill you, but I feel like that won't be happening today."
"Why not? I'm sure you could kill me right now if you wanted to." Tony raised his eyebrow. Peter closed his eyes and shook his head.
"I can't look at the people I hurt." Tony tilted his head in confusion.
"If you don't like doing hurting people, why do you do it?" Peter's bottom lip quivered.
"I can't leave. He won't let me leave."
"What do you mean?" Peter looked towards the entrance of the alleyway, pushed the other man away slightly, turned around, and lifted his shirt. He heard the Tony gasp as he sees the scars and Peter quickly pulled the shirt back down.
"I've tried to leave before, but he finds me. And when he does, it's not good."
"Who's 'he'?"
"My boss. I don't know his real name." Tony stares at the boy for a while and then places a hand on his shoulder and looks him in the eye.
"What's your name kid?"
"Peter." He smiled at the older man and he got one in return.
"How about you stay with me for a while? Our security would keep you protected from your boss and he'll never be able to get to you again." A tear falls out of Peter's eye and he looks at the man in disbelief.
"You would do that for me? But I tried to hurt you."
"But you didn't. You're just a kid who got stuck in a bad situation. And you wouldn't be able to hurt me in the tower because of Friday, but I don't think you would." Peter smiles and hugs Tony before quickly pulling away and apologizing.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that." Tony gives him a small smile and wraps one arm around the kids shoulder. They walk out of the alleyway.
"Did they not feed you? You look like death." Peter laughed sadly and shook his head.
"Not really. I got water and some bread sometimes."
"Alright, lets go get some food. I think you'll like Thai."~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
