Chapter 13: Rooftop Date
George's POV..
It's been seven years since we've drifted apart and had our lives kept going without each other.
Madaming nabago. Personality, philosophies in life, beliefs and even our physical attributes. But one thing never changed: our undying love for each other.
Ang tindi ng pagmamahalan namen no? Pitong taon na nga ang lumipas at sa halos pitong taong iyon, wala man lang nagbago kahit na marami na kaming nakilalang mas higit pa sa isa't-isa.
Plus the fact that he lied to me. He betrayed me by withhelding the truth and not fought for me, my feeling for him never changed.
I thought that I've already moved on and forgpt about him and my feelingsfor him but I'm wrong.
Yes, I've been with Jean and fell in love with him. I also got hurt when we broke up but my love for Ken still outweigh the love I felt for Jean that time.
It's not actually a rebound, but it just turned out that way. But honestly, it's not. I've loved Jean truthfully and not used him to move on.
So, Jean's another story and history. I'll just talk about him some other time.
Back to Ken, yes, Kendrick Arellano, my official boyfriend. Actually, we're together at the rooftop now and just kept silent for almost an hour.
We just love to stay that way, just feel each other's arms around us and look at the birds soaring up in the sky.
Maganda ang panahon. It's almost 5o'clock na and we're waiting for the sunset.
It's been our favorite pastime seven years ago. I guess, old habits never really die, eh?
Mahirap nang alisin sa sistema naming pareho ang ganitong pampalipas oras lalo na kapag magkasama kami sa bahay nila.
We stayed that way until I felt his arm circled my waist pulled me closer to him and held on tightly.
I leaned onto his shoulder and turned sideways to steal a kiss. A chaste kiss on his cheek.
"Uhhhhmmm..sweet" I said flirtily.
He just chuckled and loosens his arms on me and settled me on his lap. He just stared at me and smiled. I felt my cheeks heat up.
I hurriedly buried my crimson face on his chest to hide my embarrassment.
Ang landi kasi e, nagnanakaw pa ng halik sa boyfriend.
He pat my shoulder and hummed.
"Babe, why the shy-type girl now? Don't hide your beautiful face from me," he said between laughters as he tried to lift my chin to face him.
"Hmp! No," I protested and buried my face even more not wanting him to see my oh-so-red-cheeks.
"Babe, you don't have to do steal such kisses. You could ask for it, and I'll willingly oblige. And for those chaste kisses, I like them. Nakakatuwa lang kasi parang ang sweet tignan. Ang sarap din sa pakiramdam nang mga nakaw na halik." He then came again to a fits of laughter.
Nakakainis talaga to, pagti-tripan pa ako. Nakakahiya talaga ako, errr!
At last, and what seemed took forever, he stopped laughing. Akala ko di na sya titigil. Alam na niya, alam na niyang di ako natutuwa.
I lifted my head and pushed him.
"Oh, bat ka tumigil? Sige, tawa pa. Wag ka titigil hanggang malagutan ka nang hininga Kendrick Arellano! Para kang bata! Nakakainis ka, hmp!" pagalit kong sabi.
"Babe naman e, di ka mabiro. Sorry na, please babe? Patawarin mo na ko. Please? Please?" sabi niya with matching puppy eyes pa.
Nakakatuwa siyang tingnan, haha. Pero hindi, magmamatigas ako. Susubukan ko kung hanggang saan ang kaya niya.
"No, a simple sorry won't do. Lahat na lang ba ng pagkakamali ay madadaan sa sorry-sorry na yan? Ayaw, di ko tatanggapin sorry mo kahit mangisay ka pa dyan."
Nag-pout siya. Loka, mas nakakatuwa ang ganitong expression ni Ken. Halata kasing nag-iisip siya ng paraan para maayos ang tampuhang ito. Ayaw din kasi niyang tinatawag siyang Kendrick, pambata daw. Cute na di ba? Kendrick! Haha.
"Sorry babe, please? Promise, di na kita tatawanan or anything na ikagagalit mo. Wag na galit babe ko. I love you babe and..."
bitin niyang sabi sa akin sabay kamot ng ulo.
Halatang ayaw pa sabihin e.
"And...?" I asked impatiently.
"Please, don't call me that childish name. Kendrick doesn't suit my handsome and manly face. Shit. I'm already a man babe, please?" he pleads.
"Tsk. Okay, but in one condition.." I said cheerfully.
I'm up to something and I want it to happen. Lol. I'm a very demanding lady. What I want, I get it.
"Whatever it is, I'll do it. I'll give it to you.." he said desperately.
How sweet of him. He'll do and give everything I want so I'll forgive him for the chaste kiss that I caused. Hihi. So mean.
I whispered it to him. And his eyes went wide and smiled right after I finished telling what I want.
I sensed victory and my heart leaps. Beating faster in happiness, anticipating that tonight's one of the best night of my life.
I just can't wait. I just can't.
