A six-year-old girl with slick, dark hair jumped in excitement around her well-decorated room as she welcomed the familiar man with a tug on his hand. With a beaming smile on her face, she invited the man to take a seat by pulling a pink chair out from underneath the table in her room. Her curls bounced as she ran out of the room and into the kitchen to drag her mother out with a pot of brewed tea. The small girl clutched onto the teacup as she watched the older woman come in with a plate of small cookies as well.

Not just any cookies. Her favorite cookies; which include lemon-flavored wafers and chocolate chip cookies into the mix. Yum, the girl thought to herself, resisting the urge to chow down on the cookies.

"Papa, would you like tea?" she sweetly mumbled, her blue eyes meeting his. Y/n stared at her husband from a distance as she stood near the door and gave him a threatening look, mouthing for him to say yes. Daisuke sighed, nodding.

"Of course, sweetheart," he replied, handing his teacup to his daughter. Happy, their daughter poured tea into his cup from the play teapot, which only cost him a small fortune of a thousand dollars for the entire set. The wealthy man loved seeing his baby girl overjoyed and taken care of by only the best, which was y/n at the moment after refusing to have nannies since her arrival into the world. "Would you look at that? It's lavender tea," he continued, taking a whiff of the scent radiating from his teacup.

Internally, Daisuke refused to drink lavender tea, but he didn't want to hurt his little girl and her feelings as she offered him several wafers with a table-cloth napkin. Y/n returned from the kitchen with another plate of small baked goods. Kambe admitted to himself that the baked goods smelled better than the tea, due to the fact that they were baked by y/n exclusively. It brought back memories to the morning after their first love-making session, which included a big breakfast much to his surprise. "Look Airi, your mother is here."

"Mama, finally!" the girl squealed, quickly proceeding to take another chair out for her mother. Y/n settled in beside her husband and graciously asked her daughter for a cup of tea and wafers. Airi nodded continuously, blabbing onto her mother about how much she loved her baked goods and how she wishes to bake alongside her next time. "Please, mama!"

Daisuke gripped the little handle with his finger and dipped onto the tea, which made him recoil in slight disgust, politely asking to go to the bathroom to his daughter and spitting the rest out from his mouth. The inspector returned to his seat with a normal expression drawn on his face, but y/n knew better than that and swatted his thigh. "Ow! What was that for, y/n?"

"You know exactly what it was for..."

"Mama, what does that mean?" Airi asked, staring at her parents in confusion as she tried to make sense of the current situation.

"Don't worry about it, sweetie. It's just adult stuff."

"But mama, I want to know..."

Daisuke bit into his wafer and chewed on it slowly, watching his wife and daughter in the middle of a conversation. He wasn't much of a talker, but it seems like Airi took after y/n in that aspect. "Sweetheart, it's between your mother and I."

Airi pouted, crossing her arms. "Are you mad at mama?"

"Of course not," Daisuke responded, reaching out for a cookie on one of the plates. He eyed y/n before munching on a scone not long after. With a smirk on his face, he reached over and planted a kiss on y/n's cheek. "I love your mother, after all. Isn't that right, darling?

Y/n blushed in embarrassment—immediately getting the memo about his not-so-innocent mindset—and gave him another threatening look. "Yeah, you do," she spoke, fidgeting with the wafer on her plate. A part of y/n was scared of the outcome of his response that would probably end with another heated night in their bedroom. "Dear, would you please do me a favor and meet me in the kitchen right now?"
