A seven-year-old girl happily jumped around the expensive, sports' car as her father precisely adjusted two baby car seats inside of the vehicle. Sighing, the wealthy man shut the door to the car as his eldest daughter hopped onto the backseat alongside her twin siblings. The cooing of his newborn babies and the giggling of his daughter, Airi, brought a smile to his face, knowing they were well being taken care of under his authority. "Papa, let's zoom now!" the blue-eyed girl commanded, poking her father on the shoulder.

Daisuke rolled his eyes, chucking. "Airi, no need to rush your father now. I'll try my best to make sure we get there pronto, sweetheart."

"Promise?"

"I promise," he assured her, picking up the speed as they drove off to a nearby shopping center in the city of Tokyo. Mother's Day was approaching in Japan and it was their first time celebrating it as a family of five. He appreciated his wife for being the best mother in the whole entire world to their children, and well, he couldn't imagine anyone else in her place. She still consistently worked from time to time, which amazed the detective as he watched her balance motherhood while being an executive for the company she worked at. No one was as hardworking as y/n. "We're here now," Daisuke let his daughter know, getting out of his seat and pulling the back car seat door open.

His daughter in pigtails and ribbon walked out of the car and stomped her foot against the pavement before breathing in the fresh air. She always did that as a means to make a statement about the place as harsh as that sounds. On the other hand, Daisuke opened the trunk of the vehicle to pull out a double baby stroller. He adjusted it before unbuckling his son first from his car seat. With a blanket below his place on the stroller, Daisuke made sure to comfortably set his baby boy down without causing a fuss. On repeat, he followed the same procedures for his other daughter. The detective watched as his younger daughter squirmed in his arms before fluttering her eyelids open to reveal blue eyes. The young father awed at the sight and settled her in her seat— meanwhile, Airi was still trying to take in the sight around her.

"Papa, where do we go first?" she sweetly asked, clutching onto the handle of the stroller as Daisuke pushed it calmly. "I think mama would love a new teddy bear. Can we make her a teddy bear?"

Daisuke shook his head before bopping her nose a little. "Sweetheart, we're trying to find a gift for your mother, not for you. Mama already has a bunch of teddy bears at home, remember? Besides, if you really want a teddy bear, then we'll go and make one and you could help make some for your sister and brother. Does that sound like a good idea?"

"Yes!" she blurted out excitedly, skipping as they made their way into the shopping mall. Slowly, Daisuke pushed the stroller as he examined the fronts of the stores to find something appealing to the love of his life. Although y/n had mentioned it to him that she did not want something too luxurious for her tastes, he couldn't help but spoil her for once in her life. This was his chance to thank her for everything that she has done for both him and the kids. At some point, she had to make sacrifices to ensure that they lived in peace while raising their kids without the need of a nanny. "Ooh— this looks pretty! I think mama would love this!"

The wealthy Kambe heir turned his head in the direction of his daughter to find her gazing at a pearl-diamond necklace on display. Airi always had a good taste in jewelry ever since she was gifted with her first pair of earrings at a young age. Even without her assistance, he couldn't help but admire the piece of jewelry and imagine it on his wife. Without a doubt, he knew he had to purchase it. Daisuke strolled into the jewelry store, approaching one of the store employees. His eyes flitted towards the other pieces of jewelry, settling on a ruby set as well as a diamond set. "Good evening, sir."
