Momo had made the unwise decision of agreeing when Mina begged her to go get a drink that night. If the raven-haired girl was being honest, she would much rather have played a game of Uno with the man who was still an enigma to her than get shitfaced drunk and probably pass out in an alleyway. That's how nights out with Mina always ended.
Kendo always ended up being the designated driver because she didn't drink, Jirou was a sobbing mess in a corner because she was sad drunk, Mina most likely flashed someone and Camie definitely made out with someone she didn't know the name of. Then, of course, there was Ochako who was under some illusion that she suddenly got jacked and had, on multiple occasions, tried to arm wrestle someone twice her size. And finally, we had Momo, who turned into a walking trip hazard when she was tipsy and was probably out like a light by twelve.
Momo hated the feeling of being drunk because she wasn't at all in control of her own actions and she hated not being able to remember whatever shit went down the night before which is why she generally declined Mina's offers. But, it was a week after Momo's birthday so the girl had felt obligated to agree. Mina and Momo had a standing agreement that a week after the raven-haired girl's birthday was the shortest amount of time you could wait to have a party. Especially this particular birthday.
But, back to the unwise part. It had been unwise of her to accept in the first place because now she was stumbling through her apartment door drunk and like her bones were made of jello to the point where she could barely hold herself upright.
She was too busy being hammered to notice the dual-haired boy sprawled out on her bed. Since they'd started playing Uno together much more frequently, Momo's dorm room had become like a second home to Todoroki who sometimes just showed up out of the blue for the atmosphere it provided. Not like his own room which was pretty much empty except for his bed, his clothes, and a picture of his mom on the bedside table. He hated spending time in that room. But Momo's room was warm and inviting, like her.
Although, he hadn't expected her to come home totally plastered. Actually, he hadn't really been expecting a visit from her at all. On the nights when she wasn't there when he got there, she usually didn't come back the next morning. Where she was, he didn't know. But that meant he had the pleasant room to himself for a while. Plus, she always left it unlocked after the first time he snuck in. So it was easy.
Today was much different from other days, though. Today, Momo was plastered against the floor, totally wiped from a night of hardcore drinking and music that was way too loud for her taste.
Todoroki's lips parted slightly in surprise. Momo didn't strike him as much of a party girl, much less the kind of girl who would get hammered. He actually wondered how she even made it up the stairs in her condition and how she had even gotten home. But, had the moment, he had bigger things to worry about. Like, for instance, her blood alcohol level. Todoroki had taken drunk girls to the hospital on multiple occasions, but it only takes one to make you never want to go through that again.
He knelt beside her carefully, gently pushing some strands of her silky raven-hair from her eyes. Her midnight eyes traveled up his torso lazily before settling on his heterochromatic hues. She smiled slightly, her full lips still half pressed against the ground as she slurred,
"Hiii Shouutoroki," She laughed through her drunken haze at her combining of his first and last name. She must have thought it was hysterically funny because she then rolled over onto her back and burst into a fit of uncontrollable and unceasing laughter that echoed around her small room.
Todoroki couldn't help the small smile that tugged at his lips because he had to admit that she was kind of cute when she was drunk. She was always cute, but her alcohol flushed cheeks and slightly disheveled hair made her look cute in a different way that the dual-haired boy couldn't quite put his finger on.
"Hi Momo," he nodded on a sigh. She really needed some water. And some sleep. So, he slipped an arm under her legs and wrapped the other around her back before lifting her up like a princess with ease. She grinned with her eyes closed and released an easy giggle.
"I really am your princess," Todoroki was pretty sure she hadn't meant to put the "your" in there, but it was still cute how her head lulled back and forth as if moving to the beat of a song he couldn't hear. Adorable.
"My princess?" He said more to himself than to her. He liked how it sounded and how the words tasted sweet. She would never let him call her that normally, but it was a nice thought and he found himself getting more comfortable with the idea as he made his way over to her bed.
He set her down on the bed gently, making sure not to drop her too roughly. The last time he didn't treat a drunk girl with care, she kicked him in the face an left him with a black eye for good measure. So, he made sure to be extra soft with her as he took off her shoes before repositioning the blankets over her slender form. He couldn't have her getting cold now, could he? But this didn't seem to be enough for Momo because she suddenly whined,
"I'm cold I want my PJs!" Todoroki sighed smiled, sitting himself on the edge of her bed as he pushed the hair from her face. He didn't know why he suddenly felt so comfortable with her. With most drunk girls he would take off their shoes and leave them with a glass of water before slipping out the door. But it felt easy to be intimate with Momo.
"Well can you change into them?" He asked lowly, raising an eyebrow as he already knew the answer. She didn't respond to his question and instead just pushed her glowy bottom lip out in a pout before saying,
"Why can't you change them for me?"
"Becuase that's what we call getting dangerously close to sexual assault," He laughed slightly at her innocence. It was just like Momo to ask a question like that while she was drunk, not seeing any problem with it in the first place.
"But I said you could," She whined like a five-year-old and ran her hands up and down his muscular arms. He laughed at the fact that she was actually feeling him up right now. She was so unknowingly sexual in a way that made Todoroki chuckle slightly.
"Yeah, but you're drunk," Todoroki may have been a dick, but he had morals. Sure, he probably had too many one-night-sands with girls who didn't think they were so...one-night-stand-ish, but if a girl was hammered and clearly in no state to consent, he didn't push it. Plus, Momo wasn't like most girls. He would never dream of hurting her. So he just said, "I'm going to go get you a glass of water. Get some rest."
However, as he turned to leave, Momo's surprisingly strong hand gripped his arm as she said, "Cuddles. I want cuddles I'm cold." She yanked him backward, forcing him to steady himself on the bed with one hand as her other hand came up to grab the front of his shirt. Rather threateningly, I might add.
"Heh, I'm not really a...cuddling type of guy," He furrowed his eyebrows and drew his lips into a tight, apologetic line. But she just looked at him like a lost puppy-dog with those big midnight eyes of hers. He could've sworn his heart went haywire and his face caught on fire at that moment. And god, how was he supposed to say no to her when she was looking at him like all she needed was what? Freaking cuddles? "Fine." He said on a sigh as she moved over to make space for him.
She almost immediately fell asleep on his chest, her head buried in his neck, her arms wrapped tightly around his muscular torso. She was so warm and soft that he almost forgot he was the kind of guy who didn't have long-lasting relationships. Of course, though, this wasn't like any relationship he'd had before. And maybe it wasn't such a bad thing that he wanted to hold her and never let her go. Could that really be a bad thing?
Maybe he didn't mind cuddles so much.
