Momo had waited two days to actually take action on her friend's suggestions to actually talk to Todoroki and in that time, though she hadn't actually been avoiding him per se, she was definitely making a lot of excuses to get out of seeing him. It wasn't that she was trying to shut him out, just that she was worried she would blurt out at the wrong time or something. Like what if they were just casually having coffee and then all of the sudden, "You told me you loved me two nights ago when we were quite literally sleeping together, just in case you didn't remember or something." Yeah, that wasn't going to happen. She needed time to plan out exactly what she was going to tell him even though she knew those wouldn't be the words that came out of her mouth when the time came.

She had only ever been to the guy's dorm building a few times to pick up Izuku when Ochako insisted on dragging him somewhere. But Momo had never gone in before and, to say the least, it didn't look anything like the girl's dorm building.

For one thing, the layout was completely different and the common room had an actual tower of beer bottles as if it had been someone's bright idea to create a beer castle and they just never stopped adding on. There had to be hundreds of bottles on the tower by now. And then there was the fact that Momo literally had to step over a guy she recognized from the football team who was passed out cold.

She tried her best not to wake him up because she wasn't really currently up for another tense conversation with a guy on the football team about how she appearently got their teammates expelled. She along with all the girls thought it was utter bullshit because they had gotten themselves expelled, but to avoid any more conflict, Momo had learned to offer a quick apology and an even faster excuse to leave.

She pushed the thoughts from her mind as she stepped into the elevator that would lead her to the second floor where Shouto's room should be if Bakugou hadn't been fucking with her. It was strange to Momo that she'd developed such a relaxed friendship with the blonde. It was mainly because Mina and Kirishima had been besties since middle school and Bakugou was dating Kirishima, but Momo could always ask him for small favors and they even went out to lunch occasionally.

What she found weirdest about the whole thing was that she didn't even mind the fact that he managed to smush a swear word into every sentance and got angry at quite literally everything. Even just addressing him by his name earned you a glare and a growl of something akin to disgust.

The dinging sound the elevator made as it opened it's shiny metal doors that revealed a pretty ornate hallway with pristine white doors on either side of the aisle way. Despite the slightly different layout, it looked almost exactly like the girl's dorm room: a little bit too fancy considering it was a college dorm building, and simultaneously too small and too big in a way that made you feel both claustrophobic and underdressed.

Room 106 appeared to Momo quite faster than she had expected it to. But nevertheless, she had found it almost immediately, causing her heart to beat rapidly in her chest as she stared at the blank white door in front of her. All in an instant, it felt as if she had completely forgotten everything she wanted to say to the dual-haired boy and she could feel her face flushing a bright red color without even having spoken to him.

It was almost exhausting and most certainly confusing, the way he was able to make her feel. He made her heart beat so fast she thought she was having a heart attack and made her blush rosy colors just by smiling at her. But he also made her feel so...wanted. He listened to her and he trusted her with things he didn't tell anyone else. He somehow managed to be the source of all her anxieties about whether or not she was good enough for him, enough to even consider a romantic relationship with him, if he would realize she didn't deserve him, and at the same time the cure to all her problems. It was utterly confusing.

Her fist hovered in the air as if stopped by some invisible force, her own brain suddenly getting to her as she thought of all the possible ways she could fuck up their relationship by pursuing the conversation she was hoping to have with him. Just knock. She prompted herself, trying for once to be brave despite knowing she wasn't that kind of person. Knowing her, she would probably get too anxious to even knock on the door, much less talk about love.

So, she forced herself to calm down by running through the possible scenarios, kind of like a math problem. Find all the possible outcomes. Of course, there was no way to tell if these were all the possible scenarios becuase humans acted irrationally, but she could at least broadly categorize them:

Worst case scenario: He doesn't actually love her, he also no longer wants to be friends (Not terribly likely).

Bad but not the worst: He doesn't love her, he thinks they should hang out less to make it less awkward (More likely than the last one).

Not ideal, but okay: He doesn't love her, but he laughs it off and it never becomes an issue (LIKELY).

I can live with that: He loves her in a purely platonic way (Maybe??)

This is never gonna happen: He loves her.

It seemed strange to people like Mina who were more adept at the whole, conversing thing, but Momo had a hard time going with the flow when it came to hard conversations. If it didn't go as she expected it to when she was talking to someone about a difficult topic, she found herself unable to find the right words to say, as if all her thoughts had suddenly become lodged in her throat.

She did have one thing going for her though, which was that Todoroki was easy to talk to. She could talk to him about anything. Well, almost anything. There were two subjects that were strictly forbidden and those were simply: her sister, his mom. And that was it. Otherwise, anything was pretty much fine as long as it didn't cross into those boundaries. However, despite having discussed love in a broader sense, she didn't know how Todoroki would react to her in this situation.

She was suddenly startled from her thoughts by the door opening with a jarringly sharp sound, caugin her to jump back ever so slightly as she was met with the handsome features and heterochromatic eyes of a boy she knew too well. His perfect lips quirked up into a sly smirk as he said,

"Hey, Princess. Were you gonna knock?"
