The first card was a blue seven the color of Gatorade and Momo knew that she had to change that fast becuase of her Christmas colored hand. So, she placed down the only number over five in her hand, effectively turning the color to a vibrant green. Momo had never been a big fan of green, but it was the hand she had been dealt. It reminded her a lot of her life in a way. Just the hand she'd been dealt. Except for the one wild card. That was Todoroki. A wild card that she didn't know what to do with.

He interrupted her train of thought by carelessly tossing a green three on the small but growing pile of cards between them. He was sitting with his back to the door, leaning on his hand with an easy expression that conveyed something of a simple kind of joy. It was strange because it was a kind of relaxed contentment that Momo couldn't quite put a name to. It was a uniquely Shouto Todoroki look and it only showed itself on his features when they were in easy times. Sitting on her bed, talking about the stars, sitting shoulder to shoulder as they discussed things that seemed unimportant but actually meant everything, playing Uno. Momo would pay money to see that soft smile grace his lips.

"Princess, you gonna go or just keep checking me out?" His features broke into a knowing smirk as he watched her eyes scan over his face and across his broad shoulders. He wasn't blind, he knew Momo sometimes had a hard time keeping her eyes away from him but he certainly didn't mind. He was quite used to girls checking him out, but he gained a strange sense of full satisfaction from watching her eyes move over him in that same way. She could see it and she just turned away with a childish huff.

She didn't say anything though, and instead just placed a red three since her hand was largely populated by the bright cherry color. It reminded her of Todoroki's hair, a bright contrast against the occasional bleakness of the world around her. Kind of like this game. This stupid kid's game that had quickly come to mean everything to her.

He put down a wild card, quickly declaring the color blue and sending a shiver down Momo's spine as he spared her a quick wink and stupid smirk of his. She suppressed an eye-roll of annoyance at the sudden turn of events. How could he possibly have known that she had literally no blues in her hand? Or maybe it was just dumb luck. He seemed to have a lot of that.

She now had two choices: draw, or use her one wild card. Of course, if she was desperate she could always draw later and hopefully get a wildcard again, but that seemed rather risky. But then again it wasn't like she was doing anything else with her wild card. So, she placed it down with the ghost of a reluctant sigh on her lips.

"Red," Her tactic was so obvious that as a psychology student it made her cringe. If she could've been any more obvious with her body language and her tone of voice, she would've been telling him outright what she was going to do.

On some level, though, she knew he would always be able to read her. He would always be able to know exactly what she was thinking just based on the subtleties of her expression. It was because he knew her. He knew her like the back of his hand. He knew that a dimple appeared on the left side of her cheek when she was trying not to laugh because she was biting the inside of her mouth. He knew that her tongue sometimes peaked it between her lips when she was thinking.

He just smirked at her and put down a red two. It wasn't an arrogant smirk though, it was merely a suggestion of over-confidence because there was a certain hesitance to the way his lips curled, almost like a question. She answered by playing a red five, leaving her with only three cards in her hand.

If she was being honest, she had almost forgotten about the entire point of playing this game, because, as cheesy as it sounds, his eyes were beautiful and her propensity for getting lost in them had increased a hundred times when he looked at her like he was now. He was looking at her like she was a puzzle he was trying to figure out and she would give away all her secrets to him in due time. She knew that for sure.
