Todoroki was practically falling asleep the next day as he was dragged to lunch by Kirishima who had organized lunch with the guys specifically for the purpose of interrogating their friend. Not that Todoroki knew that. But even as he almost dozed off while listening to Bakugou and Kirishima have yet another bickering match, he felt that his drowsiness had been completely worth it.

In the end, Todoroki had ended up winning the match despite Momo being intelligent and strategic about her moves. He was just luckier cards-wise. If he was being honest, he liked winning, but what he liked even more than winning was seeing the adorable pouty expression on Momo's face when she lost. It was the cutest thing becuase she would push out her full bottom lip and furrow her eyebrows, but behind those long eyelashes of hers, he could see the playful glimmer of competition ready for the next time.

And what question did he ask her, you might ask? Well, seeing as Momo had only won two times since they made that deal, he figured he'd go easy on her. So, he asked her the lamest question he could think of: what's your favorite color. However, it turned out not to be so lame, because he actually found that he quite enjoyed learning about how she thought peach was such a soft color and how she felt more connected with it because her name meant peaches. Of course, though, the conversation didn't stay on the color peach for long, as it strayed into things much deeper than one's favorite color. But Todoroki didn't mind that. He actually adored how easily they slipped into conversation about anything and everything.

And this was what he was day-dreaming about as his friends tried to get his attention, with a great deal of annoyance, I might add. But, Todoroki was too busy staring off into spaced and thinking about the way Momo chewed on her bottom lip when she was concentrating. It took Bakugou quite literally slapping him across the face to lure him out of his trance and back to the real world.

"What was that for?" Todoroki asked annoyedly, staring at his friend with a mixture of lazy irritation and exasperation. The dual-haired boy knew exactly the reason Bakugou had bitch-slapped him in the middle of the campus Starbucks, but he honestly didn't care and there was no way his ego would let him admit it.

"Dude," Kirishima filled in for Bakugou, who just grumped with a heavy sigh of annoyance as he directed his attention to something much more interesting. "You've been staring into space for fifteen minutes. We thought you were having a stroke or something-"

"This dumbass even asked you if you smelled toast and you didn't even fucking react," Bakugou cut Kirishima off mid-sentence and gestured to the blonde sitting diagonally across the table from Todoroki. Kaminari looked like he was getting prepared to be offended, but he just kept his mouth shut in favor of not embarrassing himself in a public place again.

Todoroki was about to say something, but his phone suddenly buzzed in his pocket and he decided that he would much rather pick up the phone immediately than listen to Bakugou. So, he didn't bother excusing himself from the table and just got up wordlessly as he traveled outside into the mild summer air.

When he was safely away from the prying eyes or ears of his friends, he took the phone out of his pocket and examined the caller ID. His lips curled into a smile when he saw the stupid looking picture of his red-headed brother sticking his tongue showed on the screen along with his contact name which was fondly listed as 'Dickhead.' All of Todoroki's friends and family members, save for Rei and his mother, were named some version of 'asshole.'

He quickly answered the phone with a simple, "Hey Touya."

"Oh, so little baby Shouto is alive after all," Touya's teasing tone rang through to Todoroki's ears. Each of Todoroki's siblings held a different place for him. His older sister Fuyumi largely took the place of Shouto's mother and general nurturer whenever his mom couldn't be around while his older brother Natsuo had always been his favorite person to wrestle with considering they were the closest in age. However, Todoroki had always been closest with his eldest brother Touya who would not be almost thirty. The red-headed boy was always there for Todoroki, even if he was, well, kind of a dickhead about it.
