"Okay, so tell me honestly," Momo said with the ghost of a smile gracing her features as she leaned against her bedside table. She had been waiting for him to walk through that door for what felt like forever. He was hella late, that was for sure. Whatever he had been doing had clearly been more important than playing Uno, which Momo couldn't really blame him for seeing as he had an actual life outside of her. "Did I embarrass you in front of your friends?" The corner of her mouth quirked up in a slight smile as his jaw dropped in a panicked way.

"No," He answered quickly and smoothly as he closed her door behind him, a smile tugging on the corners of his lips. He could never be embarrassed by her. He released an easy laugh as he sat down across from her, watching her reach gracefully behind her without moving those midnight eyes of hers from him. "They embarrass me." He ran a hand through his hair, revealing his bright blue left eye. Momo found it beautiful. Like ice. Cold and nearly perfect.

"Why? Aren't they your friends?" She couldn't stop the small smile that made its way onto her lips as she looked at him through long lashes. There was a hint of humor in her voice as she asked him. She didn't want him to think that she was mad at him or anything becuase she really wasn't. If anything, she understood if he didn't want the two separate worlds colliding. On one hand, he had his friends who he had known for much longer than her and on the other he had her, a girl he played Uno with way too late at night.

"Yes, and they're all dumbasses," He rolled his eyes just thinking about Kaminari trying to get his permission to date her. She smiled at his reaction and bit her lip to keep it from spreading to wide. God, she was really bad at hiding her massive freaking crush on him.

It was really a bittersweet thing, how much she liked him. It was so so sweet because she got to delight in his presence on most nights and because Momo hadn't felt the familiar warmth of being this attached to one person in a very long time, but it was also so bitter. Bitter because it was a hopelessly one-sided feeling that would never get chance to manifest itself in the real world. Bitter because Momo was terrible at keeping secrets even when she knew they would get her hurt. Bitter because he was the school's golden boy who could have any beautiful, funny, stunning girl that he wanted and she was none of those things. At least that's how she saw it. Bitter because...well, why would he choose her? But she wouldn't think about that for now.

"So tell me, why are you so late tonight?" She decided she would switch the subject considering she wasn't going to push about how he felt about her as she dealt them seven cards each. She might end up finding out something she didn't want to know. He just released an apologetic sigh as he picked up his cards and shuffled them absent-mindedly in his hands.

"Believe it or not, I was actually planning to come here early. Like, around ten-thirty," He said, tilting his head in a cute way that forced Momo to bite her tongue to keep from making any noises or commenting on how cute he was. Instead, she merely quirked an eyebrow and said,

"Oh?"

"Yup. But those dumbasses we were just talking about dragged me to a bar and fucking interrogated me," He grunted dissatisfiedly, but Momo thought it was cute, seeing the genuinely frustrated side of the ever guarded Shouto Todoroki. Most people wouldn't believe it, but under that charming smirk of his lived an actual human being with emotions. Momo just felt lucky that she got to see them.

"About what?" She asked as the flipped over that starting card that just so happened to align not at all well with her hand. A yellow two stood before her, taunting her as if it knew that her hand was comprised entirely of green, red, and literally one blue card, but no yellows. Of course, she could always go for the number thing, but nothing in her hand happened to fall below five and she was saving the one wild card she had for a time when she really needed it. She grumbled and unintentionally pushed her bottom lip out in frustration.

"They wanted to know about you, actually. They think we're dating," He looked at her slyly, his perfect lips forming a wry smirk that reached his eyes and fit his features like a glove. She swallowed the hitch in her breath and managed to rasie an eyebrow at him in confusion so as not to look so shady. She knew it was a matter of time before he caught on, but she was going to hold onto her dignity for as long as possible. "I told them we're eloping." He said matter-of-factly.

"WHAT?!" She almost screamed as a bright pink blush spread across her features like wildfire. She set down her cards as she suddenly jumped on top of him, sitting on his chest and pinning his shoulders to the ground with one hand as she punched him in the shoulder with the other. Her eyebrows were furrowed and her face was pink with embarrassment, her full lips forming a pout while he laughed at her reaction to his statement. She hit his muscular chest with her hand again as she glared at him in response.

"Ow! Hey! I was joking!" He laughed easily from under her, clearly enjoying the reaction he was able to pull from her with so little effort. It was cute how reactive she was. And the exchange made him smile. Although, despite it being a light-hearted exchange between the two of them...Todoroki really wasn't a bottom. Not to mention he was much stronger than her so there was no reason he should be. So he pushed on her shoulder with just enough force to pin her under him, his muscular forearm supporting his body weight above her. "But you're pretty cute when you're angry." He winked. She huffed. She didn't find his joke about eloping funny. Or if she did, she wasn't telling him that.

"You shouldn't say things like that," She said, making every effort to ignore the way her cheeks burned and her heart beat rapidly in her chest. She avoided his gaze because that would only make the problem so much worse. The contact of his hand on her shoulder already sent shivers running down her spine and the way he was hovering over her meant that if she lifted her head just a little... It was a very compromising position for her. He just laughed, his heterochromatic eyes sparkling with the sudden expression of joy.

"Oh, that's right. I forgot you have no sense of humor," He said, rolling off of her with a chuckle and pushing himself easily into a relaxed sitting position. He was clearly suggesting that he was ready to get on with whatever they were doing at the moment (hopefully playing Uno becuase Todoroki didn't have any other ideas). Despite this though, Momo stayed laying on the ground, her arms crossed over her chest stubbornly. She wasn't budging until he offered her an apology. "Oh come on," He rolled his eyes playfully but she was steadfast in her decision.

"I'm not moving until you apologize," She huffed, suppressing the smile that threatened to overtake her features. She could hear the handsome man beside her chuckle on a sigh in mock exasperation, but she just laid there, staring at her ceiling and waiting.

"Or we could just do this my way," He said, sliding a strong arm under her back and gently wrapping her wrist in a calloused hand. She swallowed her heartbeat that threatened to beat straight out of her chest if she didn't force it back with a little thing called self-control as he gently guided her to a sitting position with ease. "Upsie daisie," He bore her his classic fuckboy smile and she rolled her eyes before going completely limp once again, falling back over his arm. "Oh c'mon Princess, seriously?" He grunted. She just shrugged at him from the ground as she said,

"Don't call me Princess, say you're sorry."
