The diamond tiara sat like a confusing time capsule on Todoroki's bedside table as he and Izuku studied it with frowns spread across their lips. He knew it used to belong to Fuyumi because he had heard stories of her dressing up as a princess-knight named Freya when she was really little, but Todoroki didn't actually think it was made of real diamonds. Of course, he shouldn't be surprised because his family was filthy rich and Fuyumi was the golden child, but still. Real fucking diamonds.

And now it was just sitting on his bedside table, being stared at by two college students who didn't have a clue why Fuyumi had mailed it to Todoroki without anything more than a note that said, "Was cleaning out the house and found this. It's yours now." Why she sent it to him of all her siblings was beyond him. Last time he checked, Fuyumi had always been closest to Natsuo since they were similar in age and both had more gentle souls. They took after their...

"Alright, I'm just seeling on eBay," Todoroki announced finally, scrubbing a tired hand over his face. It was now the late end of the afternoon and so far he had done nothing with his off-day other than get breakfast with his friends (it was terribly loud, especially after having gotten drunk on the preceding Friday. He didn't even remember what the girl he brought home looked like) and stare at that stupid crown with Izuku. What else was he supposed to do with it?! It's not like a lot of his friends were vying for a diamond tiara at the moment.

"Wait, dude!" Izuku held up a hand to stop the dual-haired boy as he indelicately picked up the crown. It wasn't like Izuku particularly cared what happened to it, but the freckled boy was sentimental, and if it was his to keep, he would keep it as a reminder of his family. Of course, Todoroki didn't really want any reminders of his family at the moment. "Isn't there someone you can give it to? I mean, it's from your sister..." Izuku reasoned, his sentence growing evermore hesitant because of the look Todoroki was giving him.

"The haircut I had in my fifth-grade school picture was also from my sister and I didn't want to keep that," Todoroki said flatly and humorlessly as he raised an unamused eyebrow at his roommate. Izuku just tried to suppress an eye-roll. Shouto Todoroki was an aggressively non-sentimental man and, though it didn't come up often, what to keep and what to throw away was often a strained subject between the two who, otherwise, got along great.

It was only after a moment of silence that Izuku's words suddenly hit him in the head like a train. "Isn't there someone you can give it to?" Was he stupid? Of course he had someone to give it to! And it was perfect! Of course, it would come across as some very aggressive flirting, but, well, whatever, there was always eBay if it didn't work out the way he wanted it to.

His expression must've changed because Izuku broke the stretched silence between them with a hesitant, "Shouto? You okay?"

"I'm all good, but I gotta run," The dual haired boy dual-haired boy didn't spare his friend another word before slipping out of the room with haste and practically slammed the door behind him. Izuku just nodded into the now silence of the room and flopped back on his bed.

Todoroki almost simultaneously tripped and choked on air as he emerged from the stairwell that led to the roof of the girl's dorm room building and saw Momo standing there. If she had been anyone else he would've thought there was something physically wrong with him because Todoroki was by far the smoothest person he knew. But, just watching her stand there, leaning against the ledge of the roof while she looked across the sunset bathed campus, her silky black hair being blown by the wind in its loose ponytail, she was too perfect for him not to be caught off-guard.
