A Couple Days Later
Ebony
When I look into his beautiful brown eyes I saw a glimmering light of a hopeful future with him. His smile, his infectious laugh, his tenderness that he shares with me is everything that I need in this moment to move on and to let go of what happened in the past. A hopeful tomorrow. Though he was notoriously known from bouncing around from situation-ship to situation-ship, I knew his intentions were pure when he was with me. When he was with me, he made me feel like I was the only person that mattered in that moment, he understood my humor and knew my story. Everything that was building up to this exact moment in time to be held in his strong arms didn't matter. All that mattered was that I was was with him, and he was with me.
Aubrey arrived in Paris earlier that afternoon for a club appearance promoting his new album which was to be released in a month. The first thing that he had wanted to do when he got here was to see me so we had arranged our schedules accordingly and spent the entire day together. He took me shopping, we went out to eat and I was even with him during his press circuit with the local well known hip hop stations in town. It had been a full day nonetheless, even after the interviews and the shopping, we still had to do his club appearance which wasn't until 10:30pm. We stayed there for a few hours, interacting with fans and mingling with other celebrities. I had even invited my girls to hang with us in VIP so I wasn't the only bitch in a section full of niggas.
Girls were eyeing me weirdly, as they watched with envy as his attention was on me the entire night constantly making sure that I was okay. He knew that I wasn't necessarily a party person unless I was there for a gig or my friends dragged me. During his downtime in between performing, he would hit the weed infused hookah at the table and order drinks for my friends and I. Aubrey was a man not shy of PDA, when he first picked me up he briefed me that fans and paps would follow us, girls might hate you, and that he didn't care what others thought because in his eyes I was his main girl at the moment. He didn't say it like that, but I mean come on, it's Drake. Who knew who else he was talking to at the same time that he was talking to me. We weren't officially together but the blogs talked and word gets out quickly in Black Hollywood. Either way, I was happy to be spending time with him, he made me forget about all my problems and all of my worries. It was pure bliss.
It was currently almost 3:30 in the morning, as I looked at the alarm clock on the nightstand. We were both wide awake, half watching a movie on Netflix that he found on his amazon fire stick. It felt refreshing to be away from Bakari and his toxicity, with Aubrey he was a breath of fresh air, a breath of fresh air that I so desperately needed to take my mind off of him.
"I've missed you." He mumbles into my collar bone, moving my hair to the side.
"I missed you too."
"There must be a lot going on in that head of yours cause you haven't said anything in like 30 minutes." He read me like a fucking book.
I turned around, placing my hands on his bare chest, tracing the feathers on his owl tattoo and peered into his eyes. "Today, was just crazy." Which was partially true. "Your life can get hectic I see."
"I'm always going, I'm never at a standstill." He chuckled. "How have things been with you lately? You okay?"
I knew I actually wasn't with the fucked up shit that's always going in my mind, so I lied. "I've been well actually...Paris has been such a beautiful trip so far and it got even better with you being here. Thank you, so much for treating me today."
