The ride to the Jordan family estate was nerve wrecking. Ebony's heart literally felt like it was about to jump out of her chest. She anxiously bounced her leg as she looked out of the window and watched as Bakari punched in the key code to the gate and watched the iron gates open up letting them through.

Bakari could sense that Ebony was nervous since she hadn't really said much since their ride home from the air port once they landed in New Jersey. He placed his hand on her thigh, lightly caressing it to help ease her nerves. She stopped bouncing her leg shortly after as they pulled up in front of the estate. He cuts the engine off to their Rolls Royce and turns to look at Ebony who was nervously fidgeting in her seat.

"I feel like I'm about to throw up." Ebony breathes out, and slowly got out of the car for some fresh air.

"Hey, hey..." Bakari stepped out of the car, walking to where evening was resting against the car.

She felt like she wanted to cry.

"I'm right here with you." Bakari pecked her lips, and cups the sides of her face with her hands as she peered into his eyes. "Sheila and Jamal will be here tomorrow along with his family, it won't be all bad. You've got me." He reassured pecking her forehead as she clung onto him. "I've got you." He coached her.

Ebony nodded hesitantly and kissed him slowly for reassurance.

"I'm going to get Junior from out of the car." Bakari sighed, and pulled away from Ebony briefly and opened the back door to carry his car seat inside with them with his diaper bag strapped along his shoulder.

When the two parents reached the front door , Bakari was the first to ring the door bell. Mrs Donna approached them and opened the door because she was nearby and excitedly greeted her son with a cheerful embrace completely ignoring that Ebony was there.  Ebony stood off to the side, not wanting to interfere and watched as Mrs Donna pulled the blanket down from Juniors car seat to see he's still sleeping.

"Ma, It's good to see you again. I bought Ebony home with me for the holidays." Bakari said with a smile.

"Hi." Ebony greeted her and offered her hand to shake.  Mrs Donna looked at her hand, turned her nose up, and walked away.

"The family's in the living room," She spoke and walked with her son and girlfriend following behind trying to keep up.  As she was walking through the foyer she ordered the house staff to get Bakari's luggage from his vehicle and bring it upstairs to his room.

Bakari looked at Ebony with an apologetic look on his face, but she knew it was to be expected.   His family didn't like her.

When the three of them entered the living room Bakari's family greeted him as Aunt Jennifer greeted Ebony with a glass of wine in her hand.

"Darling It's so good to see you suga and my favorite nephew." She referred to BJ.   Ebony greeted her with a hug and was greeted by Erik and Bakari's dad shortly after.

"The women may hold a grudge against you, but you're still family Ebony." Bakari's dad greeted her with a polite smile.  "Erik told me what you've been doing, helping to mend back his relationship with his Brother.  You care about them, and I'm grateful that you do. "

"So, which one was better in bed?" Aunt Jennifer teased and burst out into a fit of laughter.

"I think she's had enough wine for one day." Erik nervously laughs and takes the glass from his aunt and finished it for her.

"Nigga i just poured that glass and I've only had three glasses, if you hadn't known me by now it's that I speak my mind and speak my mind, I will." Aunt Jennifer says looking at Ebony.
