"Okay," Ebony exhales as she wiped her hands on her table cloth. "Food is in the oven.  That means we gave about 45 minutes maybe 50 minutes of leisure time while we wait for the food."

She then picks up her phone and wine glass which was half full and sits in between Sheila and Bakari.

"BJ's asleep.  Fed him and got him ready for bed so he should be good." Bakari turned his head towards Ebony.

"Great, thanks for getting him into bed." Ebony thanked Bakari.

All of a sudden, a few knocks on the door alerted the group of friends attention. Ebony then excitedly hops up to answer the door knowing exactly who was waiting on the other side.

Stepping through her friends legs on ur floor, she makes her way to the front door and answers it with a wide smile on her face.

"Erik." Ebony smiles, placing her hand on her hip.

"Ebony, it's good to see you. I bought your favorite bottle of wine." He gestures to the brown paper bag in his hands.

"Oooh now you're more than welcome to come in. We're just waiting on the food to finish up in the oven come in and say hi." Ebony smiles and steps aside, letting him walk through.

Erik nods. "Couldn't come in empty handed." He chuckled to himself and walks to the kitchen to put the bottle of wine on the counter top.

Bakari stands up, confused as to why his brother was there. He clears his throat and walks up to him to greet him.

"Hey bro, wassup? I didn't expect to see you here tonight." He said, dapping him up.

"I know but I'm a friend of Ebony's and I also have a lot to give so I'm here." Erik made a corny dad joke about Ebony's Friendsgiving.

"Awe shit, I hope these two can get along long enough just for the dinner to go on without a hitch." Jamal mumbled into Sheila's ear.

Shameik then re-emerges from his bedroom fully dressed wearing an orange knit sweater with bear following him from behind. He stops halfway into the living room at the sight of the twins and shakes his head.

"Eb, I hope you know what you're doing." He shakes his head, and plops onto the recliner picking up an unopened bottle of beer and unscrewing the cap to take a swig, and ease his nerves.

"What does he mean by that?" Erik asked, overhearing the siblings talk.

"Well, I figured it would be a good idea for you two to hash things out before we go to Jersey in a couple of weeks. Um this is merely just a simulation to see how you two would react around family and close friends. Jamal and Sheila are going to be with us on Thanksgiving Day, but other family members like your mom...your aunts can tend to make the room hostile. Although we individually have apologized to each other, you two still have some air that needs to be cleared out. I know I caused a rift between you two but you two are brothers...twins...and there were lines that were crossed that should've never happened. Bakari and I have been going to therapy so we've been working on ourselves together now it's time for you two to work shit out."

The two brothers looked at each other speechless for being put on the spot. Erik flashed Ebony a polite nervous smile while rubbing the back of his head, then looked back at his brother.
