Farren watched as Zak walked away, she watched until he was no longer in sight, "Farren." She snapped back to attention and turned to her brother, she could see it now. The hate in his eyes whenever he talked to her, "What." She snapped, he glared "Explain." Farren sighed and glanced at Amanda, "Aren't you supposed to be leaving?" She snapped avoiding the question, "Your brother asked you a question, I'd like to hear the answer." Farren turned and began to walk away, "I expect an answer!" Her brother said, raising his voice, Farren ignored him and walked up to her room.

Her brother hated her. Farren still had a hard time believing it, she had loved her brother more than anything, she sighed as she laid down staring at the ceiling.

Later that night Farren Was laying in her darkened bedroom, she sighed and looked at the time. Nearly Midnight. She sighed and sat up. She grabbed her phone and started scrolling through Insta. She frowned as she saw Melissa's post. It had a picture of Zak and some random girl Farren didn't know kissing. Her heart felt like someone had taken the dullest knife alive and stabbed her heart with it. She knew this was about three years ago, before his ex died but it still hurt.

What are you trying to do by posting this? It's almost three years old. She wrote in the comments and she scrolled past the Picture, Farren closed the app and put her phone down, she wanted to at least try to sleep.

Farren woke up to arguing downstairs. It sounded like her mother and William, she groaned and rolled over to look at the time, three thirty. Only two and a half hours of sleep. She quickly got up and went downstairs, her mother was standing in front of the door, hands on hips. "I said go to bed young man!" Her mother half yelled, Farren quickly went down, "What is going on! You're going to wake Zak up!" she hissed, her brother turned and glared at her, she ignored him and glared at her mother, "Why don't you two wait to argue until everyone's up." and she turned and walked up to Zak's room.

Farren opened the door to Zak's room to find that he was still awake, he was on his laptop typing something. "Do you ever sleep?" Farren asked him, he jumped a little and turned around, "I was just getting ready to go to sleep." Zak said glancing at her, Farren walked up behind him and hugged him from behind and rested her chin on his shoulder, "What are you working on?" she asked "Just a book I'm writing." he responded, she let him go as he got up and walked to his bed and laid down.

"Do you need something?" He asked with a yawn, "No, I just couldn't sleep so I thought I'd come lay with you If that's alright?" she asked. She didn't know why but she felt as though he was irritated with her, him not answering didn't help. "Alright I'll just go back to my room then." Still no reply. He must have passed out already, she turned his light off and went back to her room.

Did she do something wrong? That was the question Farren kept asking herself for the reminder of the night. She yawned and walked to her conjoined bathroom and filled up the tub. Her eyes itched with the urge to sleep but she rubbed her eyes, she quickly undressed and got in the tub and sighed as the hot water surrounded her, she shut the faucet off and laid back. Before she knew it she was asleep.

"Farren." the whisper was so soft she barely heard it. "Farren." Only this time she could feel warm air caressed her ear. "What do you want!" Farren called out, she was tied to a chair in the dark, in the distance she could see a light peeking through a crack from what looked to be a door. "How much do you love him Farren?" the voice asked in her ear, She blinked in confusion, "Love who?" She asked, "Zak." Farren glared at the light, "More than I love myself, Why?" She asked, she didn't get a reply. Just silence. Then water started to rise from the ground faster than she could Imagine.

Farren struggled to get out of the ropes that tied her to the chair. She didn't want to die like this, "Farren." this time it was Zak's voice. Farren stopped struggling and listened, "ZAK!" she tried to yell through the water, but all she managed to do was get water shoved down her throat, she gagged at the taste. It tasted like sweat and decaying food. Farren's lungs begged for air but she couldn't move, she closed her eyes and hoped the torment ended soon.
