Chapter 15(Farren)

"Farren?" Someone shook her shoulder and she groaned "what" she mumbled, "Get up you need to to homework." Her mother said softly and Farren sat up and rubbed her eyes, "Alright give me a sec." Farren replied and pushed the blankets away and walked to the bathroom and took a shower.

Fifteen minutes later Farren was sitting at the kitchen table working on math, beside her her phone dinged, she picked it up, it was a text from someone she didn't know.

Unknown: I hear your hanging out with Zak, leave my boyfriend alone.

Farren frowned, she didn't know he had a girlfriend, she would have thought he would have told her.

Farren:I'm sorry I don't know you but I think he would have told me.

Unknown: I asked him not to tell anyone, don't ask. I have reasons now leave him alone . He doesn't love you and so you know I'm carrying his child.

Farren: I don't believe you.

She went and put her phone on the counter and went back to doing her homework.

After about an hour Farren's mother came to check on her, "How's it going?" Thaila asked, she shrugged, her mother was silent for a moment, "Is something wrong?" Thaila asked, "No" she replied, her phone went off and her mother looked at it, "It's Zak." she said and Farren tried not to cry, "Leave it" she whispered, her mother walked up behind her, "Did something happen between you two?" she asked, Farren shook her head, "I'll go pack." And she got up and went to her room.

    

A  week Later......

A knock sounded on Farren's bedroom door, she had stayed in her room since that girl texted her, "Farren?" It was Clark's voice, "Go away." She whispered, she had been crying and she wouldn't eat, her bedroom door opened and Clark stepped in Farren's phone in hand, "Zak's Calling, you have several missed calls and unread texts from him." She Informed her, Farren didn't say anything just sat up, Clark sat in front of her, "you can't avoid him forever." She said quietly, Farren sighed " I know"

It went silent for a split second, "Mind telling me what the problem is?" Clark asked, Farren grabbed her phone from her and opened her messages and selected the unknown number and handed it back to her. Clark read it and looked up at her "Do you believe her?" She asked, Farren shook her head, "I don't know, I don't want to but something tells me she might be telling the truth." Clark sighed "The only way to know is to ask him about it, Ignoring him won't help anything." She said softly and Farren nodded.

"I know I'm just scared of what he's going to say." She whispered and dabbed at her eyes as fresh tears welled in her eyes, "I know but If it's true and he has a girlfriend just try to accept it don't hate her or him for it." And Farren nodded and Clark offered Farren her phone and she took it And as she was about to dial his number, her phone went off, It was Zak, she laughed a little and Answered it, "Hello?" His worried voice asked and she sniffed "Hey" she replied, "Is something wrong?" He asked "You haven't answered any of my texts or calls." Farren sighed "I..I know I...uhh... Need to ask something if that's alright?" she asked.

"Go for it." He responded and she drew in a deep breath, "I got a text from someone saying that she was your girlfriend and that she's carrying your child, I was wondering.." he cut her off "If it's true?" He asked and she took another breath "Yes" she whispered and held her breath as he laughed on the other end "what was the number?" He asked after he calmed down, she blinked as tears trailed down her face, "I'll send it to you." she whispered, "Alright." She went and took a screenshot of the contact and sent it to him.

"Oh that number, No Farren That's my ex, Nothing she says is true." Zak replied after A minute of silence, Farren nodded and giggled as tears of relief fell from her eyes, she was crying so much it wasn't funny, Across from her Clark smiled at her "Oh." was all she could manage, "Are you crying?" Zak asked her, She sniffed "No" she replied instantly, he snorted "Don't lie, you thought I was taken didn't you?" He asked, She laughed a little "Well yes." she replied, He laughed, "Stop laughing!" she squealed "Now I just feel stupid!" and he stopped "Farren I need to ask you, do you have a boyfriend?" she blinked "Ah no" she replied, she heard his sigh of relief, and silence.

"Hello?" Farren asked, it had been silent for almost five minutes, "I'm still here." Zak replied from the other end, "also Farren I am taken." Her heart froze and she fought back tears, "Oh uhh well..." she stopped and swallowed, "By you" He finished before she could speak again and she gaped in disbelief, "What do you mean?" she asked, "I mean you stole my heart, so will you do me the honors of being my partner?" He asked, she smiled "Partner?" she asked slowly, "My girlfriend." he stated, she laughed "I know what you meant, I was just trying to be playful and yes, yes I will."
