After some time of traveling the Blackbird landed and everyone stepped out. Jaedon and (Y/n) walked next to each other as (Y/n) started getting a little dizzy. Jaedon had always played support whether it be emotional as an animal or physical as a person. Once they stepped onto school grounds, a puff of indigo smoke appeared, and then a mutant stood before them. Immediately, the mutant walked to Peter and they started talking. (Y/n) rolled her eyes and leaned towards Jaedon.

"Teleporter."

"I'm sure he's nice."

"As if, the other one we knew was a fucking ass."

"Just because he shares the same power doesn't mean they're the same person y'know."

"We'll see."

The mutant walked over to the others and introduced himself, leaving (Y/n) and Jaedon for last.

"Hi, I'm Kurt."

"I'm Jaedon, and this is (Y/n)."

"Nice to meet you both."

Jaedon shook his hand and (Y/n) just glared at him, making him worry about what he had already done to deserve such a response. Jaedon bumped (Y/n) and she rolled her eyes.

"Sorry, I don't have a good track record with teleporters. Hopefully, you're not like them." She extended her hand and he shook it happily.

"I think we'll get along in time." He smiled and so did (Y/n). A friendship in the earliest of stages.

Once they reached the doors of the school they were greeted by other mutants that quickly introduced themselves. Charles then left with Hank to talk and Peter showed all the new mutants to their rooms and respective wings. Jaedon and (Y/n) were placed next to each other after some bargaining. However, that meant kicking Peter to the next room over.

After getting familiar with the school the mutants were allowed to go back to their homes and gather their belongings to fully move in. Then the training started. (Y/n) refused to train as she didn't want to use her powers ever again. Jaedon and Peter tried to convince her, but for an entire week, she wouldn't leave her room for anything. She also wouldn't let anyone in, not even Jaedon. Which made her nights significantly worse as she was getting even less sleep than she did at home. Finally, Hank was able to convince her to go on a walk around the campus and talk.

"So, what are your powers?"

"I don't like talking about it."

"Well, how are we supposed to help if you don't let us in?"

(Y/n) stopped walking and started crying slightly. She dropped to her knees and sobbed into her hands.

--------------------------------------------

"Honey, you have to show me so I can fix it."

"No, you'll get mad at me."

"(Y/n) it was an accident, I won't get mad. But Dad might so let me see."

(Y/n) moved over and showed her mom the damage done to the vase. Her mom sighed and fixed up the vase in a few minutes.

"Just be careful darling, and remember it's okay. How do you expect me to help if you don't let me in?"

"I know mommy, I just get scared that you'll be mad at me."

"I don't think I could ever get mad at you. It was just an accident, just be careful, okay?"

"Okay, mommy."

--------------------------------------------

(Y/n) stayed on the ground crying for a few minutes until she composed herself. She looked over at Hank who was doing his best to comfort her. They both stood and she nodded.

"S-sorry..."

"Your parents, huh?"

"Yeah... I'm sorry. I just... you never really get over that kind of thing properly."

"Losing someone is never easy and it's something that's always in the back of your mind no matter how much time goes by."

She nodded and hugged him, he wrapped his arms around her as a single tear fell from his eyes as he reminisced about Raven. Hank and (Y/n) talked a little more before returning to the school. After walking in, Jaedon ran by frantically, but calmed down once he saw (Y/n).

"Oh my god, you scared me."

"I just went on a walk with Hank."

"You usually tell me if you go anywhere."

"You don't-"

"I don't control you, I know, but I just got worried, what if you collapsed or something?"

(Y/n) nodded and went back to her room with Jaedon, Peter quickly appearing next to them and leaning against (Y/n)'s doorframe.

"Hey, guys. Ready for training?"

(Y/n) quickly shook her head and shut her door, locking it loudly and collapsing in her bed. Peter went to knock, but Jaedon stopped him as they both walked to training. After some time, Kurt came walking back to his room and heard a loud crash from (Y/n)'s room. He went to knock and the door opened on its own, he looked in and saw the room in ruins. The door's lock and hinges were broken, the picture frames were broken, posters were ripped and on the floor, the bedsheets were ripped up and the bathroom door was ajar in the corner of the room.

"(Y-y/n)?"

"G-get out..."

Kurt walked in and saw (Y/n) sitting in the corner of the bathroom, back against the wall, shaking and bleeding. A small trail of blood leading from the bed to the bathroom to exactly where she was sitting.

"(Y/n) what happened? Are you ok? Sh-should I get Jaedon?"

"G-get o-out..."

Kurt swallowed hard, not wanting to get hurt, but also not wanting to leave her alone. No one was around, so he walked a little closer.

"(Y/n)... I just want to help..."

"So did they..." Her voice was shaky and quiet as she looked up at him. Clenching her jaw shut and shaking viciously.

"Wh-what?"

"So did they!"

She screamed at him and he backed up, clawing at his ears as they started to bleed. Jaedon came running into the room past Kurt and into the bathroom, placing his hand on her forehead and back. Then she collapsed in his arms. Jaedon backed up, panting heavily, he looked up at Kurt who stared in awe at how quickly he fixed the issue.

"What happened?"

"This happens if she remembers her parents, she goes into a physical breakdown. They must've come up on her walk with Hank."

Kurt nodded along, looking at (Y/n), asleep, and shaking. Jaedon moved to pick her up and walk her to the bed, laying her down.

"Are you okay? Your ears are bleeding."

"Mostly, yes. That's the only thing she did. What are her powers anyway?"

"Different volumes of her screaming have different effects on people nearby. This time she made your ears bleed. You should be happy you're alive, my friend. Next time just find me."

Kurt continued to nod along as Jaedon spoke, looking down at his hands, drenched in his own blood.
