The boys come back not only with a surplus of alcohol snacks and sodas, but tons of fireworks. "This is gonna be a wild night" I mumble getting up to fill the coolers with the ice they bought. "Don't worry, I'll stay sober and help babysit tonight," Joji says putting drinks into the cooler I just filled with ice. "Thanks," I say giving him a smile. "Hey after we get done with this do you wanna head down to the beach and help me set everything up?" he points to the blankets, pop up canopy, and beach towels a few feet away. I nod and we finish up. I take the ice bags inside and I'm met with Chad and Max pregaming (if you can even call it that) in the kitchen while Ian cheers them on and sips on his first drink. "Me and Joji are gonna head to the beach to set up. So meet us down there later I guess." Chad waves his hand at me as he recoils from the shot he just took, "right, fuck off then. We'll head down in like...." He looks down at his smartwatch, "20 minutes at least." I smack him in the back of the head getting a classic anything4views, "Oi cunt" he throws a bottle cap at me giggling. I shake my head and walk back outside. Joji puts the canopy on one of the coolers and I toss the blankets and towels on mine and we start down the short path to the beach. We pick a spot and lay out the blankets before we struggle for a bit with the canopy. We finish setting up then sit down satisfied with our work. I feel his eyes on me and I glance over catching him staring, "What are you staring at ya creep?" He smiles and looks down, "I'm just glad we met, I'm really happy Ian trapped us in an Airbnb together for a week. I enjoy the time we've been spending together... Plus I'm staring because you're really pretty." His voice trails off at the end. I grin, "I'm really glad we met too, you've definitely become one of my favorite people... Oh, and you're really pretty too." He facepalms and falls back laughing, "Ugh I didn't think you caught that." I nod amused and kinda shocked at how much he behaves like a middle schooler talking to his crush when he's around me. "If it weren't for the drunken idiots we've gotta babysit and if I didn't know any better I'd consider tonight a date." He sits up and looks at me, "Fuck it, tonight is our first date." I shake my head and turn to him, "A date implies we're dating, and last time I checked I'm not your girlfriend Georgie boy. It's not a date." He takes his hat off and puts it on me pushing it down into my face, "Nope, that settles it. You're my girlfriend now, this is our first date, don't argue just accept it." I push the hat up and look at him, "So it's official then hmm?" I question him earning a nod."That's funny because I don't recall ever being asked to be your girlfriend." He sighs and dramatically gets on one knee, "Ash will you be my girlfriend?" I giggle at him and pretend to think for a second, "Nah I don't think I will." He tackles me into a hug, "Come on I'm serious, please" he whines dragging out the "please". I wiggle a bit before giving in to the hug and smiling, "Sure, why not." He's clearly excited with that answer, "Hell yeah! I got a hot girlfriend now!!" I just grin watching his victory dance. The rest of the guys walk up clearly confused, they just stare at him holding their pop up chairs (idk what to call them ok). "Uh George, you ok mate? You look like you're having a bit of a spasm." Max questions raising an eyebrow. I hide my face in my hands full on laughing. Ian looks at me now equally concerned, "what did you do, because whatever you did broke him." He motions towards Joji who was now standing next to Max laughing at the boy's timing and knowing Ian probably isn't going to like my response. I clear my throat to regain my composure, "Ask him, I'm sure he would love to tell you all about it."
