Connor was sitting in Ambrose's room with his familiar on his lap, talking to his cousin about his first day at the Academy. Ambrose was stoked, and his happiness was starting to infect Connor, that was, until Sabrina burst in the door.

"It worked," Sabrina said, "Tommy's back home with Harvey, who is so happy."

"And how is Tommy feeling, himself," Ambrose asked.

"Fine," She responded unconvincingly.

"Does he have any idea what happened to him," Connor asked.

"Unclear."

"Sabrina," Ambrose sighed, giving her a look.

She sighed, "I didn't really talk to Tommy, but apparently he's in shock, which the doctor said is totally normal."

"Unless that doctor is a witch doctor, I'd get a second opinion," Ambrose said, "I knew you shouldn't have performed that resurrection, everyone told you not to."

"Tommy will be back to himself in a couple of days. He'll be talking, he'll be eating--"

"He's not eating," Connor asked, rising from his seat, his fox jumping off his lap.

Her face said everything.

"Oh, we have to tell the aunties," Ambrose said.

"We can't, you can't," Sabrina insisted.

"They'll find out eventually," Ambrose pointed out, "This is a small town. A man coming back from the dead is big news."

"He didn't come back from the dead," Sabrina tried to reason, "He dug himself out of the mines."

Ambrose hummed in acknowledgment.

"And you're right," She admitted, "They will find out, but by that time, Tommy will be back to normal, and they'll be mad, yes, but they won't be able to undo anything."

Connor sighed.

"Please, you two, Harvey got his brother back," She said, "That's all that matters."

The conversation was pretty much over after that, Connor electing to retreat to his room, his familiar following along. The two sat side by side, reading from various books and having idle conversations until they heard a thump on his window. 'Luna reverted back to her fox form while Connor moved the curtain and lifted the window open.

"Astral projecting into someone's room is rather rude, Mr. Scratch," Connor told the form behind him.

"How'd you keep me out?"

"I assume you're here for a reason, I recommend getting to it."
