"The Coming Storm," 'Luna asked, "What does that mean?"
"It means that someone's raised the Greendale Thirteen," Connor responded, "Or preparing to, anyway."
"The Greendale Thirteen?"
"Thirteen witches that were left to sate the people's hunt for witches, many years ago," Connor explained.
"Sacrificial lambs," 'Luna asked.
"Unwitting ones, but yeah. If the Thirteen are truly being raised, we got problems," Connor said, handing a book to her, "Those Thirteen will, in turn, summon the Red Angel of Death. That angel will kill all the firstborns in Greendale."
"All the firstborns," She echoed, "So, you..."
"Yeah, that includes me," Connor said, his mind running a mile a minute, "We'll have to see what Blackwood says, but I think the coven might be able to hold them off."
"Darling," Connor heard his Aunt Hilda from outside his door, "Darling, can I come in?"
Turning to look at his familiar, back in her fox form, he shouted back, "Yeah, come on in."
She pushed open the door, dressed as if she was going out, "We've been summoned to the Church, love."
"Blackwood," Connor said with a scowl, "Let me get ready, I'll be down in a couple minutes."
She left him alone with his familiar, turning back into her human form and cocking her head at him, "What do you mean, 'we?'"
Connor smirked, "Wanna go to church with me?"
Timeskip:
Connor sat next to his familiar, her arm looped through his, as Blackwood addressed the congregation.
"Brothers and sisters," He started, "Last night I witnessed an omen. As so many of you did."
"Prat," 'Luna whispered to him, making Connor smile slightly.
"A horrifying sign that can only portend one thing," He continued on, "The Fires of the Abyss are being made ready. The Pit is yawning beneath us. The Dark Lord has seen our contemptible weakness. Our blatant disregard for witch law and doctrine. And Satan, vengeful god that he is, plans to punish us!"
"Father Blackwood," Ambrose shouted, bursting through the church doors, panting, "It is not the Dark Lord's wrath that has come for us, it is...the Greendale Thirteen."
'Luna's grip on his arm tightened.
"We stumbled upon them in the woods last night," Luke added, panting much like Ambrose, "They were performing some kind of ritual. A summoning spell."
