Connor had been shocked to learn that Father Blackwood had granted him a week before starting at the Academy, some goodwill, he supposed.

He didn't know why he'd decided to spend his week going to Baxter High; nevertheless, Connor found himself wandering the familiar halls before spotting his sister sprinting out of Principal Hawthorne's office.

He followed her as best he could, tracking her to the girls' bathroom where he heard retching, followed by the flushing of a toilet.

Deciding to check on her, Connor knocked on the bathroom door, saying, "'Bri, you okay in there?"

Ms. Wardwell walked up behind him, startling him by asking, "Mr. Spellman, is something the matter?"

"Ms. Wardwell," Connor jumped, "I'm not sure, I saw 'Bri running in here then heard retching."

"Oh, my," She responded, "I'll check on her, don't you worry."

She disappeared into the girls' bathroom, leaving the door open, which allowed Connor to hear the conversation that they were having.

Sabrina, sounding startled, said, "Ms. Wardwell!"

"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to startle you," Ms. Wardwell apologized, "It's just that I saw you fleeing Principal Hawthorne's office, and oh, that man, that man, that man, that man. Did he say something hideous to you?"

"He, he, um..." Sabrina stuttered.

"Want me to call your Aunts, see if they can come pick you up, take you home," She asked, "Your brother seems to be concerned about you, as well."

"No, that's alright," Sabrina finally responded, "I just got a little light-headed, is all. Thank you, Ms. Wardwell."

She blew past Connor so fast he barely had time to comprehend who it was that scrambled out of the bathroom.

"Hey," Connor called out to his sister, "You okay, what's wrong?"

"Huh," Sabrina said, "Oh, nothing, I'm fine, I just needed a minute."

"If you say so," Connor said, leaving her to her devices.

Timeskip:

Connor, Sabrina, and their typical group of friends (minus Roz) were sitting on the stairs of Baxter High, idly chatting about whatever came to mind.

Harvey interrupted the conversation by asking Sabrina, "Hey, you okay? You're, like, a million miles away."

"Yeah, sorry, I'm fine," She said, "I was just having an out-of-body experience, but I'm back."

"Great, there you guys are," Roz said, marching up to the group, "You will not believe the fascism afoot at Baxter High."
