Connor sprinted through Baxter High with 'Luna and Sabrina the latter searching for Harvey, eyes landing on Susie.

"Susie," Sabrina asked quickly, "Have you seen Harvey?"

"No, and I saw Roz's dad, but I don't think Roz is here Sabrina," Susie answered.

"I'll go to Harvey's," Sabrina said.

"I'll go to Roz's," Susie replied.

"But Susie," Sabrina called out to Susie, "You have to be back before midnight."

The two girls split up to complete their individual tasks, leaving Connor and his familiar alone in the sea of panicked people.

"Follow me," 'Luna said, her voice firm, "We need to talk."

She led him to an empty classroom, sitting him down in a desk chair while she sat on the actual desk, itself.

"Connor," She started, "I can hear your mind running a mile a minute. And I can see the calculations running behind your eyes."

"I'm just trying to prepare myself," He tried to defend himself.

"No, I can hear that thought forming," She rebuked, grabbing both sides of his head, her blue and green eyes staring into his ice-blue ones, "That's not true, it will never be true, you can kick that thought right now."

"How do you know," Connor asked, his emotions starting to get the better of him, "I'm--"

"Because I know you," Her tone softened, her hands moving from the sides of his head to cup his face, "You could never be that, anything like that. You've got a big heart, full of love, nothing could ever make you anything like that."

"What would I do without you," He whispered.

Planting a kiss on his forehead and pulling him into a hug she whispered back, "You'll never have to know."

He felt that warmth flow through his body and into his eyes again, hugging back, he finally embraced that part of him that had terrified him for so long.

Timeskip:

The hallways had long cleared of people by the time the Spellmans, minus Sabrina, came through, taking note to Connor sitting on the floor with his familiar, her head on his shoulder.

"Connor," Aunt Zelda asked, "Where's your sister?"

"Trying to talk Harvey into coming here," He answered, standing up, offering his hand to his familiar, "She should be along pretty soon."

"Good," Aunt Zelda replied curtly, "Then we follow the plan. With all of us here, we should be able to keep the Angel out."
