Revenge

Chapter 1. The Lawless

Obi-Wan was on his knees as he looked up in front of him. Maul's guards are pointing their gun at him, keeping him on the ground.

Maul levitated Satine above the ground as he pulled out the darksaber. Moments flash in Obi-Wan's eyes as he remembers everything that they went through.

The year he had spent protecting her.

The time he accidently dropped her after saving themselves from venom mites.

The moment they were reunited just 2 years ago.

The time she was held hostage by Tal Merrik.

The night when she went on the run again.

"I loved you, from the moment you came to my aid, all those years ago"

Those words repeated in Obi-Wan's ears as time slowed down for him. He can't let her die, he can't.

Obi-Wan closed his eyes and reached out through the Force with the last bit of his strength. He opened them again just as Maul ignited the darksaber. He used the Force to push the guards in the room to the palace walls, knocking them unconcious. Obi-Wan quickly stood up as Maul, who was a bit surprised, used the Force to send Satine flying to him.

Obi-Wan pulled out his right hand to push her to the other side. There was a small moment of stalemate. Satine was frozen in mid air as the two Force users battle which way her body would go.

Savage decided to help his brother and pulled out his lightsaber to finish the job. The Jedi realized what he was going to do and used his left hand to push both Maul and Savage to the left and into a glass wall.

Satine's body fell to the ground hard, but not hard enough to knock her unconscious. Almec, seeing the situation turning really serious, ran away to prepare the Mandalorians who are loyal to Maul. Obi-Wan ran to Satine and picked her up. There's no time to ask if she was alright or if she was hurt, they had to keep moving.

Maul and Savage quickly recover from being sent flying towards the wall. He spotted Obi-Wan running away with Satine and used the Force to call his lightsaber back to him. "Kenobi!" The Zabrak shouted and both he and his brother chased him and the Duchess.

Obi-Wan ran as fast as he could. He did not hesitate if he sees one of Maul's warriors. "Obi-Wan," Satine called. "Let me down. It'll be easier for you."

The Jedi considered that for a second before finally letting her down. Her hands slipped down from where she was holding on and they both continue to run.

They continue running with Maul and Savage hot in their tails. After passing several hallways, they see the door. "This way!" Satine shouted and they both ran outside.

What met them in the other side are at least a hundred Maul loyalists, aiming their guns to the two fugitives. Standing in front of them is Almec. Obi-Wan and Satine stop running as it is clear that it would be pointless.

"Well," he glanced towards her. "At least we die together."

The two Sith barged out from inside the palace. A smile can be seen on both of their faces. Maul slowly walked towards the Jedi and the Duchess. "There is no escape this time, Kenobi."

He ignited his lightsaber and stand a few feet away from the two. "Any last words?" He asked in a wicked voice.

Satine looked over at Obi-Wan as they stand closely to each other. She whispered lowly. "I will always love you even after we're both killed."

Obi-Wan wants to reply with another dry humor when he noticed something just above a building near them. He reached out through the Force to feel what was there. It wasn't something, someone.

"I assure my dear," a small grin formed in his face. "We won't die today."

Shots rained down from the buildings near by. Many of the unprepared soldiers die from the first wave. Maul realized what was happening and he quickly lunged his saber towards Satine. Obi-Wan saw this and he ignited his own saber to duel Maul.

The Jedi managed to block Maul just in time and they duel. Maul quickly went into the offensive and struck Obi-Wan left and right, but the human Jedi managed to block him at every move. They move further and further away from the crowd.

The Mandalorian rebels came flying down from the rooftops of the buildings and fire down at their former comrades. Some was shot and fell to their deaths, others manage to land on the ground.

The leader of the rebels, Bo-Katan, ran to Satine and take her to a nearby structure to take cover.

"Bo?" Satine asked in a bit disbelief. "You need to get out of here!" Bo shouted as she gunned down her enemies.

Satine eyed her surroundings and saw Obi-Wan dueling Maul and Savage who now joined their fight. "We need Obi-Wan to get away as well!"

Bo-Katan look to where the duel was happening. She turned to her left and saw about six other rebels fighting Maul's forces. "You six!" She shouted. "Come with me!"

Obi-Wan was full on concentration. The Zabrak brothers have proved themselves as excellent fighters from time to time. Maul was more aggressive than Savage, but they were still both dangerous nonetheless.

As he was cornered, Obi-Wan saw some of the rebels shooting at the brothers, thus separating him from his enemies.

Satine ran towards him with a female Mandalorian rebels beside her. "Obi-Wan, this is my sister Bo-Katan."

Obi-Wan's gaze turned from Satine to her sister. "Thank you."

"We need to get both of you out of here," Bo-Katan spoke up. "Follow me."

The three ran towards the other edge of the battlefield. A transport came down, waiting for them. Satine and Obi-Wan gets in the transport while Bo-Katan cover for them.

"Bo!" Satine called out as she realized her sister wasn't going to go with them. "I need to stay back," she said without looking back. "Someone needs to be here while you're away."

Satine looked down before speaking up again. "What about Korkie? Is he safe?"

"He will be safe," Bo assured her. "As I will be. Now go!"

Satine turned around to see Obi-Wan. He nodded his head to assure her. She took a deep breath before giving the order. "Let's go."

The transport sped towards the docks, leaving behind the battlefield.

I hope you like the first chapter. This is my first ever fanfic and I'm still learning to write better. (Sorry if the battle and duel scenes are not written in detail, I can't write them and is still practicing)
