the question on everyone's mind: which twin is hotter?
-
(y/n) didn't move. She stayed shocked on the ground until Professor Mcgonagall grabbed her arm and forced her up.

Even the Professors looked stunned, Dumbledore sat with a confused expression while Snape looked as if he had steam blowing out of his ears.

Draco and his friends weren't doing much better. Goyle stabbed his fork into the table, almost piercing Pansy Parkinson's hand, Crabbe sat with his mouth agape trying to pull down Draco, who was yelling nonsense about how much of an outrage it was before getting pulled down and shushed by a Slytherin prefect.

Harry and Ron exchanged nervous glances as the (l/n) girl slowly trudged toward their table, taking the last empty seat beside the Weasley twins.

A minute of silence continued before Dumbledore cleared his throat and stood up.

"Let the feast begin."

(y/n) sat shocked staring at the empty plates in front of her as they magically filled with various different types of food.

It felt as if someone had just ran her over with a hippogriff crushing all her hopes and dreams. Slowly filling her plate up with food at the sound of her starving stomach she thought, "Mother will hear about this."

Surely there would be some way for her to switch houses, she didn't belong in Gryffindor there was no way she did.

Draco would send her sympathetic looks occasionally trying to reassure her but she still felt terrible. She glanced at Professor Snape who had visited her and Draco the summer before, assuring the both of them that they would be in Slytherin and his prized pupils.

Harry, who was seated a few seats away from the sulking girl every so often tried to talk to her, only to be received with a shunning stare or to be pulled away by the other kids beside him.

"Now what's got pretty little miss (l/n) down in the dumps?" The Weasley twin beside (y/n) taunted lightheartedly poking at her shoulder.

Sending him a threatening glare she scoffed, going back to picking at her plate.

The Weasley twins looked at eachother smirking before one stole a piece of mashed potatoes quickly from her.

"What's your problem!?" (y/n) groaned angrily, finally meeting their eyes.

"Fred Weasley, nice to meet you." Fred said smoothly sticking out his hand. (y/n) pushed away his hand rolling her eyes. "Can't say the same."

"C'mon (l/n) you'll be at Hogwarts for 7 years, might as well make some friends in your house while you're at it."

"And what makes you think I want to make friends with you?"

Fred gasped, putting a hand to his heart. His brother grinned, leaning in towards her. "Well seeing as everyone else except for us and Potter are brave enough to try and talk you we're your on my options." He smiled a toothy smile.
"And by the way you're glaring at him I don't expect to see that friendship bloom anytime soon so.." He said simply.
"George Weasley by the way."

(y/n) raises an eyebrow, but doesn't deny it. The Weasley's were right she didn't want to be but she may be stuck in Gryffindor for a while, and no one wants to be stuck without friends. She smiled at the two, intrigued by their boldness.
"Fine."

"She smiles!" Fred exclaimed throwing up his arms before wrapping one around her shoulder and the other around his brother.

"Group hug!!" George cheered leaning over and engulfing the other two hug. (y/n) giggled returning the hug.

Being in Gryffindor might not be that bad.
-
Well that was a lie.

Being in Gryffindor was terrible,

After the feast the students were separated into their dorms. Leaving (y/n) with her new roommates, the know-it-all mudblood Hermione Granger, and two giggly boy crazy nitwits, Lavender Brown and Parvarti Patil.

Lavender and Parvarti had both seen the hug between the Weasley twins and (y/n), deciding then to ask her who she thought was cuter.

Yes, they asked her which twin was cuter.

Finally able to escape the nagging questions from her roommates (y/n) disappeared into her four-poster bed intending on getting a good night's rest before the next long day of classes. But she alas she was interrupted by her family owl Hermés knocking at her window with a letter from her mother.

"Already? Wow mother really didn't waste any time with this one." She whispered to the dark owl, stroking its feathers as it perched confidently on her windowsill.

Merlin (y/n)
Gryffindor? siriusly? ( ;) )
That hat must be losing its touch.

At this very moment Narcissa and Lucius are owling Dumbledore trying to move you into Slytherin, where you rightfully belong.

I saw that Harry Potter is in your year?
I'm starting to regret sending you to Hogwarts. I'm not sure that school is still at it's prime, it's traditions and staff are crumbling.

Don't worry dear we'll fix this,
Just remember what I taught you and pick your friends carefully.
Steer clear of that Potter boy, he'll only bring trouble and misery.

Don't write back. I've been very busy and won't be able to respond.
-mother

She threw the letter onto her bedside table and fell back into her bed. It was reassuring to know that she won't have to stay in Gryffindor for long. Closeing her eyes she drifted off to sleep, anticipating the events of the next day.

But something did bother her.

Growing up she had been taught that Harry Potter had been the nastiest boy on earth, bratty and rude, she had almost expected him to be like Draco.
But he wasn't, he was actually a bit nice, almost kind in a way. Would he really bring her trouble and misery like her mom suggested.

(y/n) didn't think he was capable of that, he seemed like any other normal first year.

But one thing was for sure, if trouble didn't follow him Draco surely would, being the pettiest person she knew, Potter rejecting his handshake would be something he never forgets.

"Draco's such a bellend." She smiled to herself finally getting to sleep.
