"Lockhart may be useless but he's going to try and get into the chamber!" Harry said loudly to the other two first years as they bursted into the DADA classroom towards Lockhart's office.
"At least we can tell him what we know!"

The three of them ran into Lockharts office, only to find it in shambles as the professor hastily packed his stuff.

Nevertheless Harry seemed to take no notice, "Professor we have some information for you."

Lockhart slammed a trunk closed, causing (y/n)s face to scrunch in anger as she realized what he was doing, while the two boys stood in disbelief.

"Are you going somewhere?" Harry asked, his voice was impatient as the three of them were already put up with the stupidity of Gilderoy Lockhart.

"U-Uhm w-well yes well," Lockhart stuttered, (y/n) had never resented anyone as much as she did Lockhart, she was ready to strangle him with his own bright red tie.

'Urgent call, unavoidable, Yes I've got to go."

(y/n) crossed her arms, "That 'urgent' call is Ginny Weasley calling from down in the chamber of secrets, right?"

Lockhart stepped back, slowly dragging his trunk with him, "Well no.."

"What about my sister!?!" Ron shouted at him.

Lockhart went frantically around the room, still collecting his stuff. "Well um- As to that most unfortunate, no one regrets more than I."

The three Gryffindors were all fuming by now.

"YOU'RE the defense against the dark arts teacher!" Ron spat at him as they walked towards him, threateningly close. "You can't go now!"

"Well I must say, when I took the job there was nothing in the job description about--

"You're running away??" Harry cut off Lockhart, stepping in front of him so he couldn't get through to the door. "After all that stuff you did in your books?"

Lockhart straightened up, "Books can be misleading."

"You wrote them!!"

"My dear boy, do use your common sense!" Lockhart raised his voice, now on edge he dropped everything he was holding and threw his arms in the air, "My books wouldn't have sold half as well if people didn't think I'd done all those things."

Suddenly it clicked in Harry's mind, "You're a fraud." You've just been taking credit for what other wizards have done." Harry shouted at the tall blonde man, anger blurring his eyes.
Lockhart didn't respond, instead looking away wearily towards the door.

"Is there anything you can do?" Ron scoffed. (y/n) snickered, "He can make bones disappear." Harry winced at the memory but Lockhart dismissed them both.

"Yes! Now you mention it, I'm rather gifted with memory charms." He said proudly. (y/n) just raised an eyebrow, she didn't like where this was going.

"Otherwise all those other wizards would've gone blabbing, and i'd never have sold another book."

The three just stared blankly at him, he wasn't really helping his case.

But nevertheless he continued, "In fact i'm uh--

Going to have to do the same to you!" He turned around quickly to grab his wand, but as he turned back around the three second years already had raised their wands, pointed directly at his now alarmed face.

"Don't even think about it." Harry warned.

Lockhart dropped his wand in defeat. (y/n) watched it hit the floor with a soft thud and smiled menacingly at her DADA professor.

The four quietly entered the dark bathroom, Myrtles cries could be heard from outside in the corridor causing (y//n) to wince in annoyance.
(y/n) was purposely stepping on Lockharts heels everytime he hesitated to take a step, causing the blonde buffoon to stumble almost head first into the sinks in front of them.
