Winter break went by in a flash, Christmas and New Years flying by. Before she knew it, (y/n) was on the train back to Hogwarts. She only ever saw her mother during the night when she would quietly pass the study on her way to grab water from the kitchen.
Her mother didn't even bother to stay with her on Christmas day, only bothering to say Happy Christmas and hand her a present before she left early that morning.
But her mother's absence didn't spoil the holiday, not in the slightest.
She had woken up on Christmas morning to an assortment of gifts, ranging from a few muggle stories from Hermione and various items from Zonko's Joke shop that Fred and George sent her, their mother Molly Weasley even sent her a cute green knitted sweater with my initial on it.
Her mother had given her a gorgeous silver jeweled necklace, and the Malfoys a matching ring.
Draco gave her a high five, saying his friendship alone was both a Christmas and birthday present in itself. But that didn't bother her because after that they spent the whole day pelting each other with snowballs and dumping buckets of snow on poor old Lucius' head whenever he walked past (which mind you did get them into a load of trouble.)
"(y/n) we're here." Blaise nudged her gently, waking her up from the short nap she took on the train.
Out of all of Draco's friends he was definitely her favourite, Blaise was the most sensible one, the only one who you could hold a decent conversation with.
The group walked out off the train and towards the castle, then departed as they all left toward the Slytherin common room and (y/n) headed towards the Gryffindor common room.
Reaching the fat lady painting and she turned toward her huffing, "Password?"
"Caput Draconis."
The door swung open and (y/n) was met with the two red-headed boys she missed the most over break.
"If it isn't our favourite first year!" George yelled running towards her and draping an arm around her shoulder walking her further into the common room.
From on the couch Ron jumped up, "Excuse me you like her more than your own brother?"
"Yup!!" Fred ran to (y/n) stealing her from his brother and engulfing her into a hug, picking her up and twirling them both around.
(y/n) screeched and grabbed onto him the best she could, "FREDERICK WEASLEY IF YOU DROP ME I SWEAR TO GODRIC GRYFFINDOR I WILL MURDER YOU AND YOUR BROTHER!"
He laughed putting her down gently. She held her head trying to steady herself as the world spun around her.
"Did you get the nose-biting teacups we sent?" George asked eagerly as they all sat on the couch.
(y/n) grinned, "Sure did, made sure to use them on Draco first, he was so angry I had to lock myself in my room to prevent him from hexing me."
"Atta girl!" Fred smiled wrapping an arm around her shoulders. "We missed you (l/n),"
"No one else here understands us," They both exaggerated wide frowns.
"Especially Ronald." The two alternated sentences, Ron rolled his eyes and (y/n) laughed.
"I missed you too losers."

Hermione, Harry, Ron and (y/n) sat in the Great Hall studying, well mainly studying, Ron was just playing around with his chocolate frog cards. All four of them spent as much of their free time as they could searching the library for anything about Nicholas Flamel -even though it was mentally straining for (y/n), having to willingly be around Potter and Weasley- but there was nothing on the man.
