dark forest adventures!

Filch led the five first years down towards Hagrid's hut for their detention.

(y/n) had spent the whole day hiding Draco's quills and sneaking dungbombs into his bags in revenge for him snitching landing them all in detention. They weren't exactly on speaking terms, going through another one of their petty fights.

"It's a shame they let the old punishments die," Filch said in a gravelly voice, "Was a time when detention was hanging by your thumbs in the dungeons, God I miss the screaming."

(y/n) furrowed her eyebrows at him, sadistic much?

The rest of the walk was silent, until Filches hoarse voice spoke up again, "You'll be serving detention with Hagrid tonight, He's got a little job to do inside the dark forest." He put an emphasis on the word dark.

(y/n) looked at Hermione puzzled. "Our punishment for hanging out with Hagrid is spending more time with him?" She shrugged her shoulders and looked back at Hagrid.

Hagrid sniffed and let out a loud sigh, he looked completely miserable and refused to look up at anyone of them.

Filch had had just about enough of Hagrid's moping. "Oh good god man you're not still on about that bloody dragon are yeh?"

Hagrid sniffed again and picked up a considerably hefty crossbow. "Norberts gone, Dumbledore sent him off to Romania to live in a colony."

(y/n) shot him an apologetic smile, although she was a little relieved, a dragon on the grounds sounded like a scary thought.

"Well that's good isn't it? He'll be with his own kind." Hagrid glowered at Hermione slightly.

"Yeah but what if he don' like Romania?" He said rather defensively and Filches eyes practically rolled to the back of his head, "What if the other dragons are mean to him, he's only a baby after all."

"Oh fer Gods sake pull yerself together man." Filch sneered, "Yer going into the forest after all, best have yer wits about ye."

"The forest?! I thought that was a joke? We can't go in there." Draco said concerned.

Filch gave him the side eye before slowly facing him.

Draco still went on, "Students aren't allowed and there are-

He was cut off by a loud howl in the distance, he shivered at the sound. "Werewolves."

"Ah, there's more than werewolves in those trees lad, you can be sure of that." Filch grinned wickedly eyeing Draco.

He started walking off, the rickety lamp in his hands creaking as he stepped away, "Nighty night!"

The students turned their attention back to Hagrid. "Right let's go."

The six of them ventured into the dark forest huddled together. (y/n) seemingly forgetting her anger, replacing it with fear stayed closer to Draco, both of them equally terrified.

The only source of light was the dim lantern Hagrid held. Once they reached a small clearing of trees he put down his crossbow and dipped two fingers into a silvery liquid.

"Uh Hagrid what is that?" Harry piped up, the rest of them stared in disgust.

"What we're here for," He stuck up his two fingers, drenched in the liquid, "See that, that's unicorn blood that is."

Ron raised his eyebrows, Hermione and (y/n) both glanced at each other.

"I found one dead a few weeks ago, now this ones been hurt bad by someone."
