(y/n) sat in the common room, beside Fred and George Weasley. The three of them were a lot more quiet than usual. Instead of chatting up a storm about the latest gossip from the older years or the twins's next pranks, they silently played a game of wizards chess as (y/n) watched.

The whole common room in fact, was in a less than cheery mood, the recent rise in petrifications had really stiffened everyone's spirits.

"Could I have your attention please?" Mcgonagall announced to the dull room.

"Because of recent events these new rules will be put into effect immediately,"

(y/n) slightly smiled (although a sad one) at the twins who bowed their heads grudgingly, they weren't very fond of the word 'rules.'

"All students will return to their house common rooms by 6, every evening. All students will be escorted to each lesson by a teacher. No exceptions."

"I will warn you, unless the culprit behind these attacks is caught, it is likely the school will be closed." With that final remark, Mcgonagall hastily walks out of the room. There is a wave of worried murmurs throughout the room.

Harry turned from his place leaning on a door frame, to face Ronald who was staring shockingly at where Mcgonagall was standing. (y/n) moved closer to the two boys so she could hear them better, without them noticing.

"We've got to talk to Hagrid Ron. I can't believe it's him but if he did set the monster loose last time he'll know how to get inside the chamber of secrets, and that's a start."
(y/n) shook her head at Harry's ignorance, he really never thought about the consequences his actions might have. His first thought after being informed of a strict set of new rules, was to go off and break them.

Ron's face held a look of worry, "But you heard Mcgonagall, we're not allowed to leave the tower except for class."

"Thank you Ronald for having half a brain." She thought, now just blatantly staring at the two, them still not noticing her.

Harry looked stern, still set on going to Hagrids, "I think it's time to get my dads old cloak out again."

(y/n) rolled her eyes, who on earth decided it a good idea to give Harry James Potter a bloody invisibility cloak?

Although she thought their idea of sneaking out and breaking a very important school rule was utterly moronic, (y/n) had decided to follow them, letting her curiosity get the best of her. She wanted to find out what they knew about the chamber.

It wasn't exactly difficult to follow the Gryffindor boys, even with Harry's invisibility cloak. They were extremely oblivious to her trailing behind them, and they sure did breath quite heavily when walking down the hallways (they might as well have just ditched the cloak completely.)

Still she didn't dare reveal herself even when they got to Hagrids hut, instead listening through the open window.

Once they settled into the large mans home, getting over the fact that Hagrid had greeted them with a very large crossbow, she noticed three large figures marching down to the hut.

Professor Dumbledore, Cornelius Fudge.. Lucius Malfoy?

Dumbledore and Fudge approached the home first, stepping in one after the other. (y/n) suspected that Harry and Ron were both under the cloak, by the lack of loud scolding that didn't come out of the hut.

"Bad business Hagrid, very bad business had to come." Cornelius Fudge said, "Three attacks on muggleborns things have gone far enough, the ministry has got to act."

Hagrid stuttered, "Oh but I never- You know I never- Professor?!"

"I want it understood Cornelius, that Hagrid, has my full confidence." Professor Dumbledore stated, loudly.
