Third Person's POV
The song ended and they hadn't realised people were taking videos of their performance. Only then did they see a helicopter flying in the near distance. Cyrus noticed first, it was a Channel 300 News Station chopper. And he suddenly realised what was happening.
Everyone was applauding except one distinctive figure in the front. She was waving her phone at him with a devilish smile on her face. Selena had called the press.
He was still looking at Selena when Keia grabbed his hand and said to him:
"We've gotta get out of here."
They hurried off the stage and picked up their things by their tent, then ran towards Cyrus' Ferrari. Keia jumped into the driver's seat and Cyrus in the passenger seat. Only then did he realise this was all wrong.
"What are you doing?"
" I'm gonna drive us out of here, " Keia replied, starting the car.
"You said you don't have a licence."
" I don't. " She replied like it was no big deal as she pulled out of the parking lot.
"You said you don't know how to even work a car!"
" I do know. "
"How? In the past five minutes?"
" I've been studying. "
"Studying what?"
" For my driver's test, of course. I was going to do it next week but it may as well start now. "
She drove them away fast before he could reply. They were roaring through them empty road. But helicopters can go fast too. And soon enough, a huge spotlight shown in them from above.
A loud voice from a megaphone boomed at them. It was Cyrus' father from inside the helicopter.
"Slow down this instant, Cyrus! You're breaking the Speed limit!"
" I'm not the one driving Dad! " he yelled back from the window. The roof was up so the press couldn't see it was Keia at the wheel with the tinted windows.
He put his head back in the car and looked at a sweating Keia, like really sweating.
"Yo, are you okay? You're burning up," he said. She didn't take her eyes off the road.
"Yeah, yeah. " she nodded, completely unconvincing him and her nose twitched.
"No you're not. What's wrong?" he persisted. She furrowed her eyebrows and couldn't take her eyes off the road.
"Now is not the time, Cyrus. " she said sternly.
"Keia, you're sweating like crazy, your forehead is burning and you can't look at me for five seconds. You have to tell me what's going on."
" If I take my eyes off the road, I will hit something. Remember, I'm not experienced in driving. "
"That doesn't explain what's going on with your body."
" I'm stressed. "
"What are you stressed about?"
" W- look around, Cy! I'm in a damn car chase with a news chopper. And worse of all, your dad's in it! "
Cyrus scrutinised her face. He could tell there was more than stress on her mind.
"That's not all you're stressed about." He stated.
She merely eye-rolled him.
"You're afraid of something."
" Yeah, getting caught! "
