Keia's POV

Hey I decided to add a bit of Cyrus' thoughts even thought it's not his POV. So don't be confused.

°°°°°°°°°°
Running. There was only running.

Cyrus did the right thing although he may not agree.

He shot the thug. In the head.

•••••••••
Flashback...

The guy pulled me up and held a knife to my throat. He had already cut a small piece of my ear lobe off.

"Drop the gun, kid. Or your pretty girlfriend gets it."

" Cyrus! Shoot! Don't listen to him! "

Cyrus' eyes watered at the predicament but didn't move his gun.

"But what if I shoot you too? I can't - I-I can't live with that."

The thug let out a hearty laugh.

"I suppose you have never handle a gun before. I just wanna have some fun with little beauty over here," he said. " Then, I'll let her go. "

Does he mean he wants to-? Oh Hell no!

"Cyrus!" I screamed as realization of what's coming to me kicks in.

"Don't you dare!" Cyrus yelled. But he still hesitated.

"Nice car, you got there. I'll let her go for that."

Cyrus looked like he was even considering his Ferrari.

"Cyrus! Listen to me! Shoot him! He's lying. They always do. Why would he let me go? Please just do it!" I started to suffocate .

"But-"

"I trust you, Cyrus. Please.."

My head was getting lighter.

Bang.

And the thug dropped to the ground.

°°°°°°°°°

I ran to him and found warmth in his hug. We were both crying. His silent tears falling on my now loose curly hair. He rubbed my back soothingly.

"It's okay, it's okay, Keia."

I don't know what came over me.

On impulse, I reached up and kissed him deeply on the lips.

It was amazing.

As if he expected it, he immediately kissed me back, bringing warmth  back to my body. His kiss said a trillion words. Apologies and worries and memories and hopelessness. Hopes and dreams and gratitude and blessings. His hurt mixed with mine and they suddenly didn't hurt as much anymore.

All in all. Cyrus Templeton was an amazing kisser.

This is a short one, ain't it. But it was an emotional opening and an eye opened on one thing. The reason why I mentioned Keia's job so much.

Let's just say: keyword Templeton.

That's gonna be useful for the future chapters.

So who thinks this is their favourite chapter so far?

I know I do.

I originally wanted this chapter to be longer and a part of what I am gonna make chapter eight, but when I got this far, I decided I didn't want to spoil the moment yet. So they can really feel everything they couldn't say.

Keia: I must say, that was amazing.
Cyrus: *wiggles eyebrows * Can we do that again sometime, Mallie. Please!
Mallie: Not in a long while, Templeton. She may have forgiven you but I haven't.
Cyrus: I promise to ask to talk to your readers next time. Please!!!
Mallie: Okay, fine. We'll see.

If you guys don't vote for this chapter, I don't know which one you will.

So VOTE.🤓
