Chapter 21

"Always" you assured him, your hand slipping out of his.

You walked downstairs to find Maggie talking with Rick and Michonne

"Ready?" you asked

"Mhm" she hummed

"Bye guys" you said waving them away, walking out the door. You and Maggie walked down the street and got into a car

"You're gonna have such a good roll there" Maggie said

"You think so?" you asked

"Yeah, Gregory might flirt with you a little so just shoot him down" she giggled

"Got it" you snickered back

About 15 minutes later you arrived at a gated place. Soon the doors opened and Maggie drove into the walls and the first thing you noticed was all the children working with crops. You had helped Maggie grow some fruit and vegetables, and other people helped you guys too, but never ones this little. They were only 5 or 6. Next you noticed a huge building smack dab in the middle.

"What is that?" you asked

"That's Gregory's office, and house. There are a few others that live in there too"

"It's huge"

"You should see the inside" she said "Matter of fact, you're about to" she said, putting the car in park "Jesus!" she yelled, stepping out. You got out soon after

"Hey Maggie" he said "Y/n, right?" he asked

"Yeah" you said "Jesus?"

"Or Paul, either works. So you're the one that knows karate?" he asked

"I know a little bit of it

"Me too" he said

"Really? So why don't you just train the kids?" you asked

"I train the adults. Gregory doesn't think I'm capable of doing such a thing"

"What makes him think I am?" you asked

"You're a young female, he just wants to be around you"

"This dude sounds like a real creep"

"Who?" some old guy said walking up to you

"No one, Gregory" Jesus said

"You must be the great y/n I've been hearing about" Gregory said, sticking his hand out for you to shake. You accepted "Gregory"

"Yeah, I know" you said, removing your hand from his

"I bet a pretty girl like you has a boy-"

"I do" you snarked "His name is Carl and he doesn't like it when guys try to flirt with me"

"O-oh" he stuttered, his eyes going wide "He sounds like a good man"

"He is"

"Can I show you around?" he asked

"Can Jesus and Maggie come?"

"Who's Maggie?" he asked. You turned and looked at Maggie with a confused look then pointed to her as you turned back to Gregory

"No, no" he said "That's Natalie"

"No, that's Maggie" you said

"Whatever, Maggie, Natalie, close enough" he shrugged "let's go" he added. All three of you began walking. Soon, the tour was over, and it was time to go home

"I'll see you next week, y/n" Gregory said

"Okay, works for me"

"Thank you for doing this, by the way" Jesus said
