Third Person POV
It's been a week since he left, and the albino has never felt this bored and lonely in his entire life. There was absolutely nothing interesting to do when his beloved was out of town to shoot a video for his latest project, and he was left here in their shared apartment with only their two cats to keep him company.
The apartment has never felt so cold and desolate, it didn't feel the same when he couldn't feel the presence of his lover. Call him clingy or needy, but the albino missed him too much. He couldn't bear not having Soraru spoon him whenever they sleep, or wash his hair when they take a bath, or surprise him with hugs and kisses when they cook breakfast together, or just staying by his side when they watch silly shows in the TV.
He never liked the feeling of being alone, but the older male had no choice but to leave him alone in their apartment since his staff didn't allow him to come. Soraru wasn't even sure himself about when he'll come back, but he said that he'll stay there for quite some time. That was enough to send the albino on the edge, anxiety and perturbation consuming his heart. He kept overthinking about the possible what-if's that might happen.
What if Soraru would never return to him? What if Soraru got too sick of him and decided to just never come back? What if Soraru thought that Mafu wasn't enough for him?
He figured that the raven-haired male wouldn't like the idea of him being too worrisome, but he couldn't help it. Mafu tried to lessen his boredom when he invited Amatsuki, Sakata and Urata once in his apartment to play together, but they got busy after that and he was left alone again.
Mafumafu shrunk in the newly-laundered fluffy blanket he wrapped around himself, trying to keep himself comfortable on the couch as he watched some random sitcom that always failed to entertain him asides from the terrible acting. He saw two balls of fluff on the carpet, looking at him with expectant eyes. The cute sight made him smile slightly as he patted the space beside him, motioning for them to come sit beside him on the couch. Poteto jumped up and landed on the couch elegantly, rubbing her head against the fluffy blanket. Iroha stayed on the ground and laid there with her eyes closed.
He felt his heart melt, lifting a hand to pet the munchkin cat's soft head as she purred loudly from the touch, slowly blinking her eyes as if asking for more affection. Mafu tickled the spot behind her ears as his smile widens. He was still grateful that his cats were here for some emotional support, it was as if they always knew whenever he felt down in the dumps or anxious, and they'd always come to him to cheer him up.
"Thanks you two.." The albino giggled softly when he heard Iroha meow in response, while Poteto continued to purr affectionately. Mafu glanced at the clock on the wall, slumping when he realized how early it was. It was only 1PM, which meant another day of boredom and loneliness. The only things that lightened up his day was whenever Soraru would send him voicemails, and it never failed to send shivers down his spine whenever the older male would ask with a husky voice if he's eaten already or if he's taking care of himself.
He frowned a little, hugging his knees as he buries himself more on the blankets. Poteto opened her eyes when she felt her owner retrieve his hand. Mafu knew that he always worried for nothing, but his anxiety always gets stirred up when it comes to Soraru. He loved the older male too much, and being apart from him for only five minutes is enough to send him to tears.
