can this compensate for the lack of fluff from the last oneshot? hmm-
Third Person POV
"Ouji-sama, please stop trying to open the carriage door or you'll get yourself hurt." The figure spoke in a calm manner, not showing any signs of his thinning patience as the boy refused to listen and continued to kick at the firmly closed door. His job was simple enough for today, which only consisted of accompanying the prince around the town after countless of protests that his parents have received the past couple of days.
The prince wasn't usually this demanding when it came to strolls around the townsquare, nor was he always this stubborn on the ride. The king and queen were already too kind enough to even let their son have anything he wants, but Soraru would always want to go outside rather than ask for literally any toy or dish that the servants could fetch him. Kashitarou has been of his service and to the king and queen for as long as he could remember, he was raised in the palace after all, but he couldn't remember the time when the prince had suddenly become this stubborn since the first days that they would go out on town. And something unusual would always happen too whenever he leaves the child out of his sight for even just a minute.
He would be gone in an instant, and it made Kashitarou start to hate going out to town with him every time in fear that the child would run off again. Sure, they would always find him again before they could go back to the palace in some corner of town, but the servant couldn't possibly keep up with this inexcusable behaviour from the prince or he'll earn a scolding from their head servant or, if worse, from the queen herself. Despite their kind nature, both the king and queen could get really strict when around the workers of the palace, but never too cold or strict enough. In fact, everyone in their kingdom seem to have immeasurable respect towards them, not just because they're their leaders, but because they've always kept a phenomenal amount of effort to keep the entire kingdom's resources and wealth well-managed.
Kashitarou sometimes worried to himself if the prince would be like them when he grows up. He was a good listener, and for his age, the boy was quite intelligent, mature and quick-witted, some traits that one doesn't usually see from a thirteen-year-old child. But it was clear that Soraru had something else in his mind other than his future, which was what Kashitarou had always wanted to know.
"Can we go down now?" The raven-haired boy spoke in a calm manner, yet the servant knew that he was already feeling too impatient despite only having a five-minute ride from the palace to the outskirts of town. Kashitarou still had some given tasks on hand while they're out to accompany the prince for a walk, so he took the opportunity to finish them just so he wouldn't have to go outside again in the afternoon.
"No, Soraru-sama. But I'll have to deliver some goods to a nearby bakery since they seem to have run out of wheat stock, and I need you to stay in the carriage before we can go to the plaza and have your daily stroll."
Just as the words left his lips, the carriage halted almost instantly, making the boy move forward a little since he wasn't sitting properly. It was bustling outside, with the faint sound of music going on while it was mostly overtaken by the townsfolk's noises and chatter. Kashitarou watched as the boy nearly jumped in his seat as he peeked through the window of the carriage door's window, eyes sparkling a little, fascinated from the amount of people who were clad in much simpler clothing with bland and plain colours.
The door suddenly opened, making the raven-haired boy almost fall from his seat since he had his arms on the cold, ornate wrought-iron patterns. On the rocky flooring stood a palace guard, wearing the same, stoic pair of eyes as he waited for the servant to step off the carriage. An open-face bowl-shaped helmet was placed on his head, seemingly heavy even though the well-built man showed no struggle in having it on, let alone the chainmail armor that burdened his body.
