Third Person POV

I.

"Eh? No rehearsals for today..?"

The albino tilted his head, puzzled when his lover idly stood by the door of their usual practice room with a huge grin. His hands froze in place, as he was about to take out his instrument from the case yet paused after the older male suddenly spoke up.

Today was like the usual, or so Mafu thought. He and his boyfriend had an agreement a few weeks back to take daily practices for two hours after classes, except when it's crucial for them to skip for their academics and requirements. It was strange that Soraru had suggested for them to go out on a date instead of having their practice for today, since he was usually the one who'll scold the albino whenever the latter would feel like slacking off, nagging him that it's extremely important for Mafu to practice more since he was a soloist, and that they had an upcoming competition that they've auditioned for.

Mafu was a little skeptical about their video entry for the competition, since the piece that he and Soraru agreed to play was something Mafu had only learned recently. A lot of its parts still needed to be polished, so it was highly unlikely that they'll get in.

Or, in other words, he didn't really want to compete.

Don't get him wrong, it would be amazing if Mafu were to get through the semi-finals, or the grand-finals even, but it was somewhat his fault that Soraru couldn't join the solo competitions for piano. After years of seeing him practicing to have a chance at the competition, the albino couldn't help but feel bad when Soraru decided against it and offered to become his accompanist instead, which was heartwarming to say the least, but the older male was more willing to compete than he is.

"Mafu, come here."

The raven-haired male opened his arms for the younger, who only blinked repeatedly in confusion. It wasn't unusual at all that Soraru would ask for hugs, but this wasn't usually the time he'd ask for them. After the albino had placed his violin safely back in its case, he approached the older male and gave in to the hug. Mafu couldn't complain, since he very much adored every moment of hugging his boyfriend, but he couldn't help but feel a little curious.

Soraru sighed, wrapping his arms around his boyfriend's petite figure as he buries his face in the tuft of snowy hair, the familiar scent of the albino's shampoo sending a wave of bliss in his mind. "Haven't you seen the results, Mafun? Or maybe you've received an email?"

"Nn, I didn't want to look just yet..." Mafu spoke in a small voice, his words slightly muffled since he was too busy rubbing his face in the raven-haired male's clothes. His body leaned forward more when he felt the pair of arms squeezing their grip around his waist, bringing him closer to Soraru as the latter then placed his face in the crook of his neck. A soft giggle escaped his lips, as the ticklish sensation in his neck made him squirm a little in Soraru's arms.

"Stop..- it tickles..!"

Shivers ran down the albino's spine as the older male then leaned away from his neck, smiling before he gave one last kiss just under his boyfriend's jawline. "We have somewhere to go, so don't worry about practicing today."

"But... you told me to bring my..-"

"I'll carry it for you. Let's head outside, yeah?" Soraru felt his smile widening in amusement when the albino pulled away from the hug, still as confused as earlier. Sneakily, he took out his phone from the pocket of his pants and opened his emails, all the while giving Mafu a chaste kiss on the lips before showing the screen of his phone to the albino.
